12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

I'm not sure we'll do full-blown Christmas decorations this year. MIL comes for Thanksgiving (and yes, I do accept condolences) (sp?) so we never do it until she is gone. By then, it is less than two weeks to cruise. Worth it? I doubt it. I think we'll do minimal this year!

I'll give you mine if you give me yours. SWMBO just told me her mother is going to come up for Thanksgiving. I really (honestly) have no issues with my MIL, but I was hoping for a nice quiet holiday with the family since Christmas is going to be disrupted.

Suppose I should turn on the news -- But hey I can see that it is flooding every where around here.

And it was literally a crappy day. Renters DS flushed an entire roll of toilet paper down the toilet well lets just say DH and I had to dig it up and have decided to get the tank pumped while we have it open $$$$$.

It is pouring and is not stopping. Ark we need an ark.

I feel your pain!
My MIL just likes to be the queen, and I get tired of her throwing little darts to try to maintain control. The funny thing is DSs are old enough to notice it, and we laugh about it. DH gets annoyed, but just ignores it.... It's a rough week or so when she comes, but could be worse.

The only inlaws I have are all my generation...DH has two sisters and my DB's wife, so three SIL's! DH's parents have all passed. This Thanksgiving will just be myself, DH, DD and my DM, maybe some friends.

I was talking to my friend earlier who just recently moved to WA. and she said it has been raining like crazy..stormyraining...nothing like what we get here in SD...

My dh loved my parents and them him...We have had everyone in my family live with us...and he welcomed them with out a problem...everyone loves Billie my family,all my friends..it amazing me how everyone tells me how much they like him..

I like Football alot also...mostly when my son is playing...even more fun then...I must say I am a Chargers fan...can you ever guess why?

My DH loved my family until my mother got Alzheimers and dad took control and he is not a nice man. Mom always controled him - now that is not the way and he can be downright nasty and he is my dad!

I got dinner finished!!! Yeah. They just shut down the city of Snoqualime - flooding over the roadway. Still rainning heavily

Angela - how are you doing? You are south west of us? My sister in Tacoma says its bad that way as well. We just have the disadvantage of being in the 'foothills' and we get all the weather that goes through from the west side to the east side.

Just tell them you all celebrated the Canadian Thanksgiving several weekends ago and are not doing the US Thanksgiving no need for the in-laws to come then!!!

I noticed - they mention the wind and rain but you really can't see it. They were asking people to arrive around 4pm due to traffic and weather.

my parents for me are like the inlaws for all of you lol....since they are paying for the cruise guess i need to be nice to them lol
