I'm back....

Mary Ann, didn't see the green dot on your posts so didn't think you were still on.

I was talking to a friend last night who hasn't even seen POTC II yet! And it isn't playing anywhere around here anymore :(. We are hoping it comes to the dollar theatre soon. If it does we will take the kids. Otherwise we will have to wait until December 5. I AM buying it that day, one way or another!!!! pirate:

Hi Holly, haven't seen much of you or Heidi. Hope all is well. You guys ARE going, yes??

Wow, and I didn't even know it!! Maybe we'll even break the 10,000 mark before we cruise!!!

Does the other family have kids? And the fabulusks nearby... I think it will be great fun, myself!!

Yes, they have a nine year old DD. I met them on the cruise (from dinner) in 2004.

Since then we have become good friends and even have vacationed together in WDW twice.

Sounds cool....

My goal for the next few weeks is to find myself a black short sleeve t-shirt and to find some pirate theme gabric to make my DH a Hawaiian type shirt with a pirate them for pirate night. I think that will be my best bet for him.

Good Morning from Albuquerque!

Thanks to all of you for your support. I need it! I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. :grouphug:

Angela, I'm definitely getting together with you when I come back to WA!

Kat, I tried the ornament when I set up the store. The picture either gets cut off, or it's too squarish when you make it small enough to fit on the ornament. When I get back to WA, I'll try editing it in Photoshop, to make it rounder. If that works, I'll try the ornament again. Sounds fair?

We have a Pirate Store on the Seattle waterfront...great place for pirate night...

Hi gang...

Just checking in. I'm thinking we need a checklist--

Dee has store for t-shirts,
Kat will send graphic for sign if we e-mail her,
Kat has made stockings for people who pm her with info.
Those who want to do ornaments should bring one (wrapped?) that represents where they live.

I've got those down.

Magiroux will "link" those who want with late seating so they can be close/same rotation?

Something is going on with bracelets?

I need to explore those.

Also, are we ironing Mickey on the front of our ts? Do we have the graphics for that yet?

Dee, don't worry about it. I didn't think it would fit but thought I'd ask. Not a big deal, really.

Sherrena, magiroux is also the one to contact on the bracelets. Jen sent me the Mickey for the shirt front I will email it to you. I may make it a little smaller before I use it but that's just me.

Hi Sherrena...

Late Seating Links....we can request (it is only a request - no guarantees) to be seated with other cruisers. They can put us in the same table or at least same section. It is done through our reservation numbers. It gives you a chance to be seated with fellow DISers, who also request to be linked, on this thread as opposed to total strangers. If you would be intersted, please PM me.

Bracelets.....on the website, reminderbracelets.com, I am going to order silicon bracelets for cruisers. A while back we had decided on Neon Green bracelets w/Forest Green de-bossing. The imprint will go with the headings we are using on the shirts. After I play around with what fits, I will post it back to the group exactly how they would read and get feedback.

Hope that helps answer your questions :wave2:

Kat, can you email it to me too? Or is Jen in charge of that?

Good morning everybody... Been a crazy weekend. I got a call Friday night on my way home from school (DD was having 2 friends over) from my 72 yr old dad saying he was at my house and what was for dinner?

Uggh... I stopped and got pizza since I already had a full house, my 32 kids, DD two 16 yr old friends, my parents (mom has alzheimers and can be tough on us all to deal with, but we do our best) and my husband decided to desert for as long as he could to avoid the parents. My parents live in the Tri-Cities about 3 hours away and I wish they would give me some warning! Love'um but we didn't even have a spare bed with kids friends over.

Today they move on to my sisters house about 45 minutes away in Tacoma. I texted her on FRiday "the eagle has landed and nested". Dad'a a retired col. and we can't talk out loud but we can text. Baby sister is 10 years younger and we are both living in WA (other sisters live in VA and UT). We have a code for Dad's surprise visits. It's nice to get some warning.

Gotta get off temp because Dad is trying to read over my shoulder - gosh I feel 16 not 46!!!

Perfect! Wow, we've really got a lot going on, don't we!

We had a "dry run" of our pirate costumes last night at the party--we're ready! :thumbsup2

We all stayed up pretty late (midnight--which is late for DS10--but good practice for the cruise!) and are pooped today. We got good news via e-mail that DS14s LaCrosse game is cancelled. (Rain last night, fields soaked.) I hate to say that is good news, but..... It's a 45 minute drive there, 30 minute warmup, 1 hour game, 45 minutes back...I think you see my point!

Magiroux, I will PM you with our info. We'd love to sit at least NEAR other DISers! That's great that old cruise friends are coming with you. We have some (that live in the Boston area, actually) that we met in 1988 on a cruise and are still friends with. We tried very hard to get them to come on this, but they like bargain vacations and were doing renovation on their home. Those two things together made them a no-show. :sad2:

Dee, sorry that your  life is confusing right now. It's hard to end old relationships, especially if they lasted awhile. I don't have much experience with ending a marriage (we've been married 18) but am always here to listen :listen: and offer support. :grouphug:

This makes me laugh. DS10 is actually 9. His birthday is tomorrow. He came in a few minutes ago lobbying to celebrate tonight. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: . Remember when birthdays were exciting???

I want the silicon bracelets - 4 for the Jacksons!! I collect them. In fact I will take 6 if I can get them so I can scrapbook with them.

We a re on Main dining. I had my son look at the kids site but my kids are a little old and feel uncomfortable on it. But they can't wait to see the other teens on the cruise.

OK, I'll wait for "ready" signal on bracelets, and I'll look forward to "Mickey" arriving in my e-mail. Can I change his size once I get him? I'm thinking DS may want a smaller Mickey (smaller shirt) than the adult version. :earsboy:

My DS son is 13 but will be 14 this Friday. Made his own halloween cake Saturday (I think to keep out of grandparents hair) but now since his b-day is so close he feels it is good breakfast food. I gatta go set him straight :sad2:

My older two won't post either, but hopefully everyone will connect face-to-face and have a great time. Two bad our Brians can't play tennis together, that would be a great ice-breaker. I don't think there are a lot of courts on the ship, though, so we won't be bringing racquets. ;)

I say that my DD was on line (she normally reads over my shoulder) posting - that was until she discovered that she was talking to a boy :teeth:
