of course! they did that last time...we already met garry at the fire drill... i believe the party starts RIGHT after the firedrill...there is no set time b/c nobody knows how long the drill takes (last cruise b/c it was sold out took FOREVER!) lol..

But where? Do we have a spot to meet for the meet?

um i guess it depends on the weather...if it rains they will move it someplace inside...Let me get back to you on that...i will post it here and on my site... i'll look at the deck plans now...

Its going to be easiest to fit a bunch of people on deck 10...even though it might be a bit cold/windy depending on the weather....The sailaway party is at the Goofy pool where they put the new jumbotron screen (ROCK ON PIONEER!) lol...so as soon as i find out my flight info...i'll let you know when i get in so i can reserve a spot...

Sounds good! Thanks Jen!

I haven't heard much more on shirts. Were we going to do those or no? Dee mentioned that she could get some printed up on cafepress that people could buy if they wanted them. If you choose "Make your own stuff" they have white, women's pink, yellow and a DIS type green but I cannot wear yellow or green (I would look like I was pretty ill). But they could be available in a standard white t-shirt, a women's white t-shirt and a kids's white t-shirt (all for $13.99 each) if we wanted to go that way. We could have a standard design that each person ordered and have our shirts that way if we wanted to. If we went with this method no one would have to be responsible for all the shirts. Any thoughts or comments on this?

That way no one would have to be responsible for all the shirts. Any thoughts on this?

that would work...i would of course need some info on their printers for number of colors and how simple the design would need to be

Good Morning all!!

Calling for a very stormy day here in Toronto.

Count me in for a ladies night as well! :cool1:

Are there any DVC members going on this cruise and if so have you been before when you were a DVC member. Is there a DVC member reception at every cruise or only on select ones?

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Denise
Hey--we are DVC members and have cruised DCL before. If I remember right, (and you've got to take your chances with that!) there was no party for DVC members. I think there IS usually a party for Castaway Club members (those who have cruised DCL before.) Anyone else?

I am not a DVC member so I don't know about that but the DO do a party for Castaway Club members. If you are one you will get an invitation in your room that morning I believe.

HI ALL :wave2: !!

Been MIA....computer went down again (I know, shocker  ). Actually, this time it was a neighborhood issue with the internet and not my new :badpc: :badpc: computer that I love so much :rolleyes1 .

I haven't went back too many pages, but it looks like more people are joining in...... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :welcome: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: . Our sailing party is myself (Mary Ann), DH- Jim, DD - Julia (11). If you would like to be linked with fellow DISers for Late Seating, please send a PM to me and I will take care of it with DCL.

I hear ya, Kat...I hope some more of the old posters join in again and let us know if they are still joining us or not. OH, Jeri.....Where are you???? You know I need my special Christmas Eve Cheer :rolleyes1 .

Sorry Dee, I have not looked into the Pineapple Resort yet. I hope to get some info by early next week on transportation options. For any new people that have joined the thread, we were looking into perhaps a groups rate (per person) for transportation to the Allegro Pineapple Beach Resort in Antigua. I guess cabs there have become really expensive and we were trying to maybe get a better deal. If anyone else is interested, send me a pm.

As far as the sail away DIS Meet, last time we met at 3pm on deck 10 above the Goofy Pool. The thinking was, that to have it during the sail away party, there was just too much going on and it was very loud. At 3pm most people were on the ship already, had eaten, and gone to their cabins, so it was an ideal time to sneak it in just before the drill. Just letting you know how we set it up last time.....It's your show, Jen. I'll happily go where ever/whenever you want to set it up for :thumbsup2 .

I'm definately up for a "Magic"al Ladies Night Out. Unfortunately, last time it was on the same night as the wine party, and I couldn't quite make it (I know, "Light Weight Louise" over here).

OK, I am a skier, so I LOVE the big, bad, 4 letter "SSSS" word :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Start early, snow often and keep going until Spring. Just DON't SNOW ON THE 15TH of DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's when we are flying out too :goodvibes .

well i value your opinion and experience too so please don't hesitate to share what happened last time..i just want everything to be as smooth as possible. Doing it before might affect those coming from the north...They often have to hold the ship for them..

Hello again everyone!

We are all still here. School, work and kids are keeping us busy. We got up at the magical 3:00 a.m. hour to book all of our excursions and palo reservations. We got everything we wanted. Palo Dinner, brunch, rasul, couples choice, Island Drive and Explorer cruise - St Maarten, Caribbean Pirate Extravaganza - St Lucia, Beach Adventure - Antiqua, and Atlantis Submarine Adventure - St Thomas.

We would also be interested in going to Grand Pineapple Beach if everyone wanted to book transportation for a group rate. Count us in.

Our sailing party consists of me DH (Scott) a senior at the University of Maryland, (40 year old senior), DW Vonda (Dental Hygienist), DD Emily (eigth grader at middle school) and DS Adam (first grader in elementary school). So with my wife on board, anyone who has a tooth problem can come see her. Just kidding! Her speciality is actually with braces as she works closely with an orthodontist.

This will be our sixth cruise and our first since we took the Magic through the Panama Canal to California for the repo cruise last May.

We are DVC members and have been for nine years. Best investment that we ever made. This will be our first time that we used our points for our cruise.

We have also booked the trans-atlantic cruise to Spain next May. As a matter of fact, we have the same cabin (#5520) boooked for both cruises.

We are very much looking forward to meeting everyone and have several surprises for everyone come this December. :stir: pirate:

Welcome Back Scott!!! Glad you got to book everything you wanted at the "witching hour". Are you on the AM or PM Pirate Extravaganza??

I know what you mean about life getting too busy. Seems when school starts around here, we go from being laid back to soccer, Girl Scouts, homework, school meetings, blah, blah , blah. Can't wait to relax come December 16th.

PLease send me a quick PM on the Pineapple Resort so I can keep all the info in one folder...thanks!!

5520 :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin ...Is that one of those secret porthole rooms????

No Robin i was not the one who bought the piece of canal. But, I was at the auction when it was sold. I really saw a lot of Don "Ducky" Williams art that I wanted but with all the DIsney Lovers on the ship the prices went more than I wanted to go even though I did bid on a few!
