So what does WPASADI stand for?

How are things going with the MIL, Sherrena? Good, I hope.

Ummmmm...can't remember exactly...Wickedly Perfect ....Surviving Apprentice...blah, blah...I usually call it whoopsie doosie..

They give teams challenges to complete, then judges vote off teams...they've been changing the rules a lot before the contest starts to accommodate a lot of people. It will go on until February or something, first contest starts December 1.

Things OK with MIL, but it's getting too lonnnnng....she starts getting cranky, wants things the way she wants them, her restaurant choices, her TV programs, etc....the kids get tired of touring around doing what she wants, I get stressed because I need to get my life going.

Today I have taken a stand. I spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday (and a LOT of money) doing what she wanted. Now today she wants to go to another museum and look at some Roman Empire stuff. I told DH to go ahead. The boys don't want to, I need to do some laundry and stuff, and if she wants to go she can go with him. She has plenty of money and buys herself all kinds of overpriced souvenirs, but we pay for her tickets and dinners out (because she also wants to eat out.) Hers isn't that much, but by the time we pay for our family and her to do all this stuff, it really is ridiculous, especially because the boys would rather do none of it. I'm not trying to be ugly, I just feel like after several days I need to have some say in my life, and the boys want one day of break to enjoy themselves. Wish me luck, but I may be in trouble later.

Snowing here this morning. DH and Kids off to dive in the snow -- cutting close to complete the certification. I hope they don't get all the way down to Alki Beach and get cancelled again, like Friday. They have only had one open water dive due to the weather and an instructor with a bad cold! We only have two more weekends!

wish them luck to get in at least one dive today. Brrrrrr!

The thing with the celebrities, Kat, they were kicking off a new WPASADI game and people applied for the thread they wanted to represent....Robin and I both followed the whole thing, but didn't apply partly because it would require substantial computer time during the cruise....

Jen, on the other hand, no problem! (Got that umbrella ready?)

AND EXCUSE ME JEN...BUT I WAS ON LAST NIGHT WHEN THEY POSTED THE TEAMS AND I CAME HERE TO TELL YOU!!!! But you weren't on..... (Check my first post, one page back.)

Jen, they said they made sure each team had at least one person who was comfortable with web site design....I'm thinking you definitely had that going for you!

Actually, I don't think it would be bad if she came with the realization that we have real lifes to live and while we are more than happy to stop and entertain her, we can't do it for a solid week. Oh well, just gotta get through the rest of today and tomorrow morning...

My in-laws and come to think about it my parents too (at least dad, mom doesn't think any more), never think about our plans or lives. I hope I'm not like that when my kids have families.

My dad's new thing is to just show up and then call me on my cell and ask when I am planning to come home and make dinner!

My intrepid divers got cancelled. Now they are scheduled for next weekend and I have moved all my haircuts and things to next weekend due to previous cancelled dived. Uggh. Will we ever get anything done!

Gotta love my kids perserverence - they have been out in wetsuits in the snow and rain the last 3 weekends.

Sherrena, my thoughts are with you! I am soooooo glad I don't have to deal with that. My Dad can be that way but he generally doesn't stay more than a few days and he often pays when we go out to eat.

I am soooooo excited!!!!!! I found a pair of the blue Disney crocs in an adult 3/5 which is the size I wear!!!! I went to the other Hallmark store here in town and didn't see one on the rack so they checked in back and had one pair!!!!! I HAD to buy them!!!!!! Yay!!!

YAYYYYYY!!! I'm only too familiar with the joy that comes with finding the perfect pair of Disney crocs. I have mine on again today...I swear I wasn't doing it for this reason, but I think they do bug MIL so I smile inside.

Susan, sorry the dive got cancelled again....that's really harsh...I'm sending good wishes and pixie dust that it gets worked out...

And when I want a list of who is in our group I go to Jen's website. If I'm not mistaken, she keeps the main list updated, just not the room assignments on the deck diagrams. I don't know that everyone also registered on Angela's site, but it would have most people too, right?

Sherrena sorry about the MIL...I have been blessed not to have to deal with that. You sound like you have been a gracious host so KUDOS to you!!!

To those of you that woke up with snow, throw a snow ball for me please. My best friend moved up to WA for 2 years and she e-mailed me some pictures of the snow this morning...

Jen, I agree with Sherrena about you being picked due to your web design knowledge..I would have wanted to be on the same team as you if I had applyed and been picked.

It will be fun to follow Jen and keep up on what is going on in this contest. Sorry that we could not apply to play but may be for the best....last thing that I need is to spend day and night again on the comp and getting nothing done. But if not for the cruise I would have applyed anyway!

I'm with you there...thank goodness the cruise kept me away....otherwise I would have probably signed up and either been sad I didn't make it or been stressed that I did! Jen will love it, though....

Yep, I'm on the list too....but really cheerleaders can come from everywhere...

You can take mine or anybody else's. Patnl(something) made them for people that didn't make a team and said everyone was welcome to them. I asked if I was welcome to one even if I didn't apply and she said go for it. I think you can just copy it from my siggie, open the little picture thing in yours, and add it to yours.

It's been ages since I've been on the DIS Boards, but we ARE going to be on the cruise with everyone. We may have missed out on some DIS things due to my absence, but we're still planning on having a marvelous time and will enjoy seeing everyone around on the ship.

It will be me (Jen - not the Jen that most everyone here knows), my mom (Debbi), and my dad (Barry).

And we were taken off the waitlist for a Cat 3, so we've moved to midship 8532. We actually stayed there and in 8534 once before with my grandmother and other family. Hopefully, we'll remember that we're staying in Grammy's room this time around.
