hello everybody...back from the long weekend

Oh, I'm trying, Fabulusk! :goodvibes

I still think there may be a chance, because both Disney staff and others on this thread have suggested checking when you get on the ship, if no other time. They may do something weird like allow so many early, so many more at the 75 day point, the rest the day of sailing--OK, a girl can hope! :worried:

Let me know how it goes!!

And, Welcome back! I didn't mean to ignore you, I was just posting while yours showed up, I think! I wish we had a long weekend--we have no breaks between Labor Day and Thanksgiving unless you count parent/teacher conferences. I don't, because they are half days. I think some Atlanta districts get a long weekend next weekend for Columbus Day, but not us! :rolleyes2

Hope your break was good!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

OK, I misunderstood! Well, welcome back anyhow. I'll save my envy for a couple of weeks when you really DO get a break.

Do most Adults dress up for Pirates Night?

Don't know. I think some do. I am looking into a costume. I haven't seen much for women that isn't, well, for lack of a better word, slutty. Not my style at all. I may look at the fabric store for a costume and see if I have time to make something. I know DH won't wear a costume but if other adults are going to dress up, I will too. We are at late dinner and I don't want to be the only one dressed at dinner but if I can get others in the group at late seating to commit, I will dress for dinner.

Hi again

I too need to loose some more weight - would be happy with 20 lbs but don't know if I can get that done before we leave on Dec 5 or 6th (still working that out).. I've lost 127 lbs - I still can't believe it myself. I was watching video from 4 years ago and actually had to look twice (I was nearing 300 lbs)- was that really me from ....behind - oh my God -then I chewed out DH for taping me that way.-- He said "what, you look fine :confused3 - and I married and love you for who you are not for what you looked like. I then said - don't I look better- his response "yes dear" I have him well trained :rotfl2:

How did i do it??? Weight Watchers initally then water water water. It works well.

Now I got out of peeling potatoes tonight and dh looked after feeding the kids. I was able to get the kiddies to go through their X-mas list and get their wish list to a Santa accomodating size. :Pinkbounc

I like the idea of taking a picture of the gifts below the tree as "proof" and may just do that.

I am able to wrap everything as we are driving ( about 22 1/2 hours) so no worries about air travel - and restrictions on weight etc.

Talk to you all soon

Denise

:scared1: That's a long drive!!! there is no way i could spent 22 hours without using a computer and internet...driving down the road makes it really hard to get access unless you have like verizon's broadband...

pirate: Welcome Bakerteam....I myself don't dress up but many do.I will wear a pirate scarf and sometimes eyepatch or something simple. I love looking at the people that do dress up.

That would be a long drive in the car. My daughter will probaly get bored with the 2 hour drive to the port from Palatka. We have it arranged that we are supposed to visit my brother in Palm Beach for Christmas. I will tell the family that I have to look at a job on the way down near the port. Brother will call on Nextel and say family is sick and need to take raincheck on trip. Since we are in area and already pack, why not see if we can get on the Disney ship. Hopefully will be a big suprise since we told her it will be 2008 to Alaska

That sounds like a pretty big surprise. My DS asked if we were going to be doing this cruise every December for Christmas. I had to tell him it is not likely. But possible if we win the lotto or something. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :confused3

Jen - Kyle opted out. So there will only be 14 of us.
Tell the truth, he's not going because we split your fun lovinfg group up and he's mad. Hopefully we will see you on the Brig in the AM and you get all the excursions you hope for.

Congrats to Tink(Denise) and Fabulusk(Angela)
On loosing all that weight!!! :cheer2: You must be very proud of yourselves...I know that is not easy. I am lucky and only have about 15 lbs to loose but my DH needs to loose at least 40 lbs and it is so hard for him to get motivated. It is so funny how everyone wants to loose weight before a cruise, not only do we want to feel our best,we also want to look our best. So KUDOS to you both and good luck over the next 2 months. Keep us up to date on your progress, you give me hope for working on getting rid of this 15 lbs that I have been trying to get rid of for a long time...darn those Ding Dongs :thumbsup2
