Denise, you aren't near where those fires are, are you??? I hope not!

It was pretty warm here but not that warm. It was, of course, the humidity that was bad here today. You walk out the door and are dripping with sweat. Ugh.

No Kat, the fires aren't close to us this time. I saw one in the East county this afternoon but they got it under control. It gets bad here when we have whats called Santa Ana's. The winds blow from the deserts hot and fast and fire bugs love them. I really hate that time of year.

And yep I have pulled out the old talcum powder trick. The girls love it. I have to cover them every night with the stuff so they aren't sticky.

my new computer is here! yay! Sony Vaio notebook! i am on it right now. Its amazing. lol. anywho...hang in there Dee...trust me when i say i lost someone i loved too. Its not hot here (mid 80s-90s), but soo humid. It is about, no joke, 5000% humidity. I know that's not possible, but it would almost be better sometimes if it would just rain.

Just got back from seeing Pirates for the third time! You know...at first i didn't think Orlando Bloom was all that good looking (maybe as an elf...but not a pirate)...but now...he's starting to grow on me. Maybe it's how romantic he is in Pirates.

Orlando is a handsome man. I'm still blown away by the fact that he is the in Lord of the Rings. He looks nothing like himself as a blonde.

Orlando is cute but I'll take Viggo or, better yet, Johnny, over him any day! Hmm, guess I just prefer them a little closer to my own age .

in LOTR, Orlando is way to pretty to be playing a boy. Infact, he's too pretty in general to be a boy. IT's not rugged handsomeness like some, its just darn beautiful.

I liked his elf look. I think he looks better in LOTR than in the first Pirates... Or at least I used to...now I don't know...he's grown on me. I think he looks very good in the second Pirates. Except in some parts where his eyes seem to bulge. Has anybody else noticed that? When he gets wet his eyes look real big...

It hasn't been so much hot here today as humid. I can stand a dry heat. It is the humidity that kills me.

DD wants to see POC II again so now to see if DM wants to see it tomorrow or if we have to wait.

I really expected more reaction out of him when Elizabeth kissed Jack. He got a lost puppy dog look and then did NOTHING!!!!! Wimp.

Yeah I was kind of upset about that too. I wanted him to talk to her about it. That's why I really hated the ending the first time I saw it...I was just thinking to myself...they didn't even talk about the kiss/work things out. It's like he just wants to give her up to Jack without a fight.
I don't want Elizabeth to end up with Jack. I think it would be a dumb ending...she didn't even like Jack in the first movie!!!

I'm in for a long night...dd6 has a friend sleeping over. This kid is talking about boys and marriage, ghosts, witches, haunted houses.I kid you not my dd came up to me and asked me to come upstairs because one of her dolls moved its head all by itself. They were playing tag with a ghost. This kid id bizarre. My daughter isn't going to make it through the night. Good thing the little one has passed out arleady.
Am I just being a lame mom or is this a little weird for a 6 year old?

Good morning everyone! 5 months from today! Hurray!!!!!!

I was bored last night so I watched POTC I.

DH is off to dive again this morning. Then next month he starts his dive master course.

Wow, where is everyone today???? It is waaaaaaaay too hot here to be outside!!!!! Mom and I went to see POTC II again. It is just so much fun! And you always see things you missed the first time. I noticed the boots on the bed at Tia Dolma's the first time but this time I also noticed that the undead monkey made a beeline for them and sat there for the rest of the scene.... makes sense later on, eh????
