I did not even realize that my birthday will be Key West night. Dec 17.

Judy, I did not see them as of yesterday's mail. I will check when I get home today to see if they arrived today. You haven't let me know how much I owe you.....

Wow, a birthday cruiser! Cool. Are you going to celebrate big or ignore it? DH likes to ignore his birthday.


Would one DCL bus fit all of us? That would be funny if we all showed up at the airport around the same time and got on a bus together!! Do you think the DCL people could handle it???

Usually we do dinner. I will probably try to make Palos for that day, although I have always wanted to find a good rest. in KW

We didn't eat on Key West when we were there in 2004. We had dinner on the ship and then went back to shore (they extended our stay) and did a haunted Key West tour. That was fun.

Looks like just you and me on this page today, Judy! At this rate we might bet 75 postings today!

So then, its settled. Precruise sleepover at Judy's and we can charter a bus to port.

I am not planning on getting to port early. We will have an 8-hour overnight flight Thursday night plus 3-hour time change (MAJOR JET LAG) and planning to do whatever we have energy for at DD on Friday, hopefully including the Comedy and Adventurers clubs (after a nap), and sleep in as late as we can on Saturday.

The only kid we have now is almost 14, which means that getting up any time before noon is too early.

Yeah, I saw that today is the 16th!! Whoo hoooo

Are we a sad bunch, being so excited about something that is still 10 months away? Heck, I still have my Hawaii trip next month, a weekend trip to the Twin Cities in April, a likely weekend trip to my Dad's in September for his 75th birthday, and various other things going on between now and then!

Yeah, me too. DS is going on a school trip to DC and NYC in May, and on the morning of the night he gets back I am leaving for Hawaii with my travel school class. Then I have been planning to take DS back to Disneyland in June for 8th grade graduation but with all these other travel expenses I am not sure we will go. Those AP's can really cost you when you feel like you have to make three trips in one year "to get your money's worth"!

I'm not sure. 2 or 3 juices and rum I think. They make really good ones out by the pool. My other favorite is the Baileys coladas. As you can tell, I drink froofy drinks.

Stace, I just opened my mail and it said it did not go through due to the size of the file. I will seperate them and send them in a couple of emails.

Travel school? That sounds cool. DH says I should be a travel agent since I love to plan vacations. I suspect I wouldn't enjoy it as much if it weren't my vacations I was planning, though!

Karylrocks----you probably can teach them a few things after hanging out here.

Where are you both going in Hawaii? Kat you will get to see the humpbacks.

When it gets closer to excursion time we should really think about chartering some of the things that we all want to do. I like booking it on our own so that all my children are allowed since DCL has tight restrictions on ages.

So should I store the furniture, hire the band, and rent the Margarita machine?

Did Vicki have a good time GaRry? She said they got to ride Expedition Everest too.

Judy, we are spending the first part of the week on Oahu (DH is going to get his open water dive cert and DD and I will go to the zoo, beach, etc). DD and I want to see the humpbacks so will book a whale watching tour. DH hasn't decided if he wants to do that or not. Then we will spend the rest of the week on the big island. We are staying at a B&B in the rain forest on the side of Kileauea. I am really excited about this trip too.

You aren't serious about having people crash on your floor, are you?

As for excursions, it depends on what you are wanting to do. I know DH wants to do the scuba excursion on St. Lucia. DD and I want to do the island tour that takes you to the drive through volcano! There will likely be some things we just won't take DD with us on. It will depend on whether or not she makes any friends and has someone to stay with in the clubs I suspect. We wandered Key West on our own last time and will likely do the same this trip. Have to stop at the winery and the store that sells all the hot sauces again. Never been to the other islands so I have no idea what might or might not be fun, with or without kids.

Either way, if several of us want to go on the same excursions we should coordinate times, etc as I know some excursions have multiple times during the day.

At some point we will also want to coordinate linking reservations so we can sit together for dinner, etc.
