*12/13 Some News* 39 and Going Back at Christmas! A Dec. PTR

Cute binder!

Thanks!

Wow, impressive! I have never done a binder-thingy!

Not so impressive, really... Last time, I just had a big folder with everything in it, but Lily and I saw the Disney stickers and couldn't resist playing with them this time. I won't take it to the parks, but it will be nice to keep all my papers organized in one place! We really could have done with less pockets, but y'know - we had ALL those cool stickers, so why not? :rolleyes1

Wow! I love the binder. It makes me feel so disorganized, lol. I'm leaving in less than three weeks and I don't have any of that. :)

Thanks. It was fun to make with Lily. She's so crafty that she loves any project we do together like that.

It's the 60s baby! 67 MORE DAYS

And in honor of reaching the 60s, I think I will order me some Mickey Head Tie Dyes!! I'm not sure when we'll wear them, but I can't resist TK's new business!

Yep, y'all can send a private message to TarzansKat. She also has a picture of some shirts she's made on her pretrippie. They are so cute!

Thanks. I'm a little bit of an organizing freak, I must confess. I'm so excited because it's tax-free weekend and I get to go to Office Depot today!!

Have fun today at Office Depot! We will want to know about all of your purchases!

So, Anita wants to know about my purchases yesterday. Well, I went to the teacher store and got these:

and these:

I think they look fun! I try to go with a new "theme" every year as far as my beginning of the year letter/ class lists/ name plates go. Since I teach older kids, my room's not very cutesy so this is a great way to get some personality in. (Last year I had tie dye-- the year before that it was polka dots.)

I also got
s0135779_sc7
because my school only gives us black markers.

I got some other boring stuff like scissors and crayons and graph paper too.

I'm still looking for book baskets and it's driving me crazy. I know what I want but they're so darn expensive. I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy them from ReallyGoodStuff.

I also got some clothes for me.

And some stuff for Lily:

We also went to the Disney store:

(except it was a water bottle)

So, there you go. Our tax free haul for the day. I was disappointed that I couldn't find any pants in Morgan's size and they were sold out of several things I wanted at Gymboree, but all in all it was a pretty good day.

Hi!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS. So you have gone and come back from the beach, b/c somewhere you went to Office Depot!!!! HA! We just got back from our trip, so I am trying to catch up! WOW I like your colorful Binder-thingy!! VERY nice and cute! :goodvibes And how nice of you to give me the credit -- gee wiz, :flower3: I feel like a celebrity...:cool2:

:lmao:

Okay I'm over it! ANYWAY, looking forward to more updates!!!

Yes, we did come and go to the beach. Here's some beach pictures just to prove we were there :)

51 MORE DAYS!!

Here's my purchase in honor of the 50's:

(that kinda looks 50s'ish doesn't it?)

45 More Days!!

And you know what that means, don't you??

Yep, I paid our balance today. We are paid in full for our trip. I used my $800 rewards card  and then my Disney VISA to pay the rest. Since I paid for our trip and the grandmother's, that's 60$ more in rewards that I get to transfer to our card to spend there. :cool1:

It's paid for....our sub finder has already assigned a sub to my classroom... looks like this trip is a go! (even though... my day without pay hasn't officially been approved by downtown, but I won't be there so I hope they approve it. :lmao:)

Now, I'm panicking over ADRs for my December trip. It's a complete surprise for my friend, so I can't ask her what she'd want to do; and I've never planned an adult trip before. I have no idea what to do. We only have 2 nights at OKW so 2 days on the DDP. Should I plan character meals (1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's) or nicer restaurants (Teppon Edo, Le Cellier, Ohana)?? I don't know what to do! Any advice from people who've done an adult trip. Rope drops? EMH? Aaack....I'm going crazy!!!!

Yeah for a paid up trip!!! GOOD news! Mickey Mail will be coming soon I am sure! Regarding this adult trip, we have not been on our own in a while ... I would try for ADRs you wouldn't do with your family... That might be the most fun... Regardless, you have some great options! Only get up early if you want to -- go see what you can't drag your kids to!

I think you should make ADR's somewhere that you wouldn't normally go...my May trip is an adult trip too so I am also thinking ahead at what she (my neighbor ) might like.
I just got my Mickey Mail today....finally!!!! I have been like a little kid the past week thinking yeesh I should have gotten my ME stuff by now! :yay: Yours should be right around the corner!
I am turning 39 next week  and I just went to the eye doctor because my up close vision has been very weak...and of course I need "readers!!!" :rotfl::rotfl: I have worn glasses since I was about 12 so I knew it would be coming! I usually wear contacts so I am going to get some of those fashionable specs!! :rolleyes1 Hmmmm wonder if I can find any Mickey frames in DTD...

Tracy

Hi
Just wanted to say I am enjoying your pre-trippie. You did very well on your ADR's.

My mother lives with us too in a suite in our home.I am wondering if I show her your post if I can talk her into any more than doing the laundry she does for us:thumbsup2

She has the tightest of bonds with my 11 year old daughter. I couldn't imagine a different life although when my DH was diagnosed with cancer last year I had panic thoughts of someday having to give up this big house and the living arrangements. Anyways enough about my situation.

I just wanted to say hello and tell you how much i am enjoying.

Diana

Hello!

I just found your PTR... I need to get caught up but wanted to comment on how cute your kids are! You're so lucky that they love the characters... My DD is terrified of them and it makes me sad that I can't get any good pictures with any. She just became intersted in all the princesses, so at least I'll have that to look forward to with our upcoming trip. princess:

Okay, now I gotta to get caught up! :surfweb:

I would check over the menus and find a place that you would really like to try that perhaps the kids wouldn't be so crazy about! You are going to have a blast!

Time is going so fast now!! I'm sure we'll see Mickey Mail soon. I have to finish buying all our various outfits! :) I couldn't decide between booking classic things (like Chef Mickey's & Le Cellier) for my friend to experience or places my family wouldn't go (like Chefs de France). I'm really excited about an adult trip!

Disney frames would be cool! I wear contacts too, but I really need to go and have my eyes checked. I have a feeling I'm ready for a new prescription. It's hard to think about what someone else would like, isn't it? It's killing me to keep the surprise from my friend. I want to tell her so badly so that I can pick her brain about choices!!

:welcome: I'm glad you're enjoying the PTR. It encourages me to continue because it's a lot harder now that school is in.

We have loved having my mom living with us. I can't imagine how frantic I'd be knowing that she was going through chemo and still living 4 1/2 hours from me. I like being here and knowing what's going on with her. It's hard on her sister to be away from her, but she visits us often. My kids have gotten such a gift from her being here. My 5 year old daughter doesn't remember not having her here and is extremely close with her. I hope your DH is doing well. What kind of cancer did he have?

Thanks! My kids do love the characters. It's amazing -- honestly, I've never seen my kids ever afraid of anything! Sometimes I wish they'd show a little healthy fear of something! My daughter does love the princesses. I know you'll get some great shots of her with the face characters! :lovestruc

I'm really excited!! It will be fun to do two very different trips so close together. I'm hoping to enjoy the other side of Disney in December. I'd like to stay until park close one night!!
