12/09/06 Geeks.... Lost, but not forgotten

Hey, go June 9-13 and check up on Elizabeth for me. :) The freshman class is going on a Disney trip and I'll be here at home.

Those are the dates :thumbsup2 It would be fun! :goodvibes

I have to agree that June wasn't too bad for us in 2004. That was our second time to WDW and we stayed 5 days and went to MK 2 and MGM 1. I had researched the FP situation and once DH believed that they don't expire he started collecting them for us. We did a ton of stuff...saw everything we wanted to at both parks and had a great time. Expect rain becuase it will but take those light ponchos with you and you will be fine. We planned on it by using the FPs that we had collected when it was raining so we weren't out in it. :) The trip reports for that week were varied. Some people said they just stood in line and didn't get to do very much at all. It just takes planning...like DIS Geeks always do. :)

MAJOR NEWS FLASH!!!!!

I redeemed my GC for a warm stone massage that I got for my birthday last year this morning. I told Mike that the bad news is that I enjoyed it so much that I will have to relax like this more often. :)

We went once in May. Not doing it again. To us, the heat was unbearable.

Just a drive by post.

Made our ressies for AKV in a Savannah view. :woohoo: Let me know how to find Elizabeth and we'll be sure to get a photo. :thumbsup2

I found us at the bottom of page 3. :scared1: I even missed it the first time since I can no longer sort of the thread length to find us.

I hope everyone is doing well. Things here are going fairly well. Work has been crazy (I literally hate one of our business partners right now). Thank goodness in just a few weeks I am switching over to my new position. I can't wait! :woohoo:

We took the kids bowling earlier today and had a good time. Allie was interested for the first couple of rounds but then she got bored but I think she had a good time and she outscored her brother. Nathan enjoyed it but was very frustrated that he could not get a strike. He doesn't understand that he can't expect to do that right now at his age when he has only been bowling once before. DH did fairly well (157 I think) but his score was greatly helped by the bumpers. :lmao: Several of his strikes would have been gutter balls without them. I am by no means a great bowler but I scored a 205 today! I was so excited. I had knocked down every pin with a strike or a spare up until the 10th frame (even without the help of the bumpers ;)). I got a strike on my first ball in the 10th frame then I choked and only got 5 pins in the next two balls - including my first ball hitting the bumper. :sad2: Oh well I was just thrilled to score so high. I don't think I have ever even bowled over 150 before so it was a lot of fun. Where do I get my PBA card? ;)

Hi guys!

Don't think I posted it here, but Amy left yesterday for business, and is now in the Philippines (Manilla). She got there safe and sound, but a little wound up - she said she did not sleep the whole time of travel, which was a long, long, time.

Sophia and I are on our own for 18 days, then Amy comes back for 18 days, then heads back there for 18 more days. Why 18 days? Because if you stay for 18 days or less, you do not have to get a work visa. It is going to be a real fun 45 days or so for us, but she volunteered to go. She is helping audit one of the offshore collection sites for GE.

Sophia's Birthday party is next weekend, so I took some time off so that I can prepare and get used to being a single parent.

Oh, and tonight is the 90 day mark for our PC Repo cruise, with all the excursion and Palo bookings being done.

Remember the night of our 90 day mark in 2006? Was it that long ago?

PJ is doing the honors for me, since she is our stowaway on this cruise - we are taking our travel agent / concierge with us! :rotfl2:

Thanks PJ!

John, should I register Sophia for the club and what does that entail?

No need PJ . . . I will take care of that. I will also take care of putting in our passport info and so on once we can tomorrow. You are doing more than enough already!

Just offering the full service treatment, lol

Good luck with the single-dad duty, John1! And best of luck to Amy in the Philippines!!

After more than 2 and a half years, Elizabeth's braces are off!!! I'll have to take a photo and share it... but she's off babysitting for the neighbors now.
Hannah and I put in 5 hours at Girl Scout cookie booths today... you can get quite a few buyers on a Saturday night at Lowe's (who knew!?) Oh, and Walt.... well, he's been working on his scissor skills; unfortunately, he has used them on his T-shirt, his sister's papers, etc.

Congratulations to Elizabeth! I bet she looks great!

Girl Scout cookies again huh?

And that Walt!

Oh my gosh. Long time no post or sign on for me and here I am looking for our thread. I guess a lot has happened in Jan to now.

I actually came to say Happy Birthday to Lisa.

Terrible week and weekend. I thought of you Kim. Strept, then rash, possible allergic reaction to antibiotics, worse rash, fast forward to today, my cat died at the vet in my arms, took Bella to the doctors again, new meds and I'm feeling beyond beaten with a wet noodle.

So I am going to come back here tomorrow and look at the pictures that Dennis posted dreaming of seeing all of you again and if I could click my heels together like Dorothy I would SO be booked on the Wonder so I can see the new Toy Store show.

:grouphug:
you need it.

Carla, HUGE HUG!

Lisa, HAPPY BRITHDAY!

ELIZABETH, Congrates!

Those pictures were fabulous!!

I also can't believe how different all of the kids look in the siggies. Where did the time go.

Let's see if I remember everything.

I think I am the only under tp thus far. Rational is to make it more difficult for the kids to spin the thing and unravel it all. ;)

Hm - I could smell that crusted pot pie and I bet it was wonderful!!

WOW John - WOW. Single Dad patrol I'll say and the birthday thing to boot - gasp. I won't complain about ours the month after - okay I will say I do all the work anyway and he is in the same country and house :rolleyes1 ...
I hope they allow Amy the chance to actually see the country vs. work her to the bone. I'd love to see those photos.

Marielle re Elizabeth - pictures pictures. My nephew wanted gum and some other gummy bear thing when his came off. What did she want to eat. Great job with the cookies and Hannah. One word those Lemon cookie things - oh man - love them! Our Walt. Isabella went through the scissor thing. I'd find little slices in her pants. Has he cut his hair yet? We are still growing out the "bangs" she created on the side of her hair. :confused3

Disney in June - phew - I've been in May, July and late August and July was the worse. I've never done June but then every day in Disney beats reality so if I had the opportunity I'd go! :goodvibes

PJ aka the custom coordinator travel extraordinary wonderful person good luck at the 90 day booking. Those posts at that time were a blast. If someone told me I would be online at 3AM and be energized I would have said they were nuts.

Becka - its always the bat's fault.
