A towncar is really the least stress way to go, IMHO. DCL transfers are also very easy, but you run on their time schedule, not yours.
It has been fairly easy to return cars at all the airports we have dealt with. The rental car return is clearly marked when you near the airport as they know that most folks renting there do not know the area. Most then have a shuttle of some sort to get you to the airport.

For folks doing the parks beforehand, they do a 3 way trip - MCO to resort to port to airport. It's awesome. You can even do a 30 minute grocery stop if you want on the way in. Also, car seats/booster seats are free!!! So we didn't even have to bring a car seat for our DD on the trip. It was great.

Prices are good too!!!

Lisa, this is Amy.. John and I would be interested in doing the tour!

How is Kaitlyn doing? She will probably be adjusted to the new schedule without daddy just about the time he comes home for a visit and then it will start all over again.

John has been busy with work and creating invitations to our Princess birthday party! The invites go home today with all the little princesses in Sophia's class asking them to come to Castle Halkias for a Royal Celebration.

Oh dear better go get ready for work... Hope everyone has a great day!

DH has been know to call me "cheap" on occasions. Now I am fairly confident that he is speaking of my spending habits not my behavior! :rotfl: :lmao:

My word of choice is "frugal." Disney on a budget. :thumbsup2

Amy, DD isn't handling it well at all. Yesterday she started getting upset & not wanting to go to school because she would miss me. :( I just dropped her off at school in tears. She said that her tummy hurt but I made her chocolate chip pancakes & she had no problem eating them. IDK what DH's visit home this week will do. She wasn't talking about after he leaves so I asked if she realized that he was just coming home for a visit & then would go back to DC for a while. She looked at me like I had three heads...didn't like that at all. She asked alot of questions and I tried to answer them. I think that daddy needs to reassure her because she isn't trusting me. One of DS's friends has divorced parents. She may have heard a few things about going to his dad's house & is thinking this has happened with her daddy.

Not sure how DH is handling this...DD is miserable but DS couldn't care less. He is so nonchalant about the entire thing. Tough front maybe but he is also acting up more & sassing terribly. Maybe I should do a countdown for this internship?

Wendy, that is because that company is not allowed to be posted on the boards.

:thumbsup2 LOL!!! Hey, I would have been able to get what I needed. :lmao: The guy on the phone just emphasized the word....didn't spell it out. I didn't know if it was home or own. It sounds like it is easy to take care of though...and it will save me a service call charge from the cable company.

I would be interested about what you find out about the tour also. I have heard that tulum is the best, but I don't want to be gone all day. Anywway it would be funner to go with everyone else. Have a great day everyone.

You guys were busy last night, I can rarely talk at night because there is too much going on, then when I'm home all day, everyone else is busy. Oh, well.

Karen--I forgot to tell you yesterday to hang in there, it will be worth it in the end. Like Lisa said, don't forget to have the sign up list in your hand for anyone who complains.

Mark--I can't believe you flushed the fish! Do you know how many fish I have buried in my yard in Dixie cups? My kids always made me bury them, complete with funerals. I think one we even put one in the freezer until spring because the ground was too hard. :lmao:

Angie--There's definately a difference between cheap and frugal. My DH and I are both half Dutch so being frugal is an inherited trait.

Lisa--It would definately be fun to do a group tour. Let us know what you find out.

Jordan and Wendy--It sounds like both of you have a lot going on, I suppose you could look at is as earning your vacation, it will be all the sweeter.

Thanks for all the reassurances on the rental car. We hated being so close to the Space Center last time and not getting there. DS13 (Shaun) and his friends brag all the time that they are "geeks". They really like scientific things and using their brains. Kind of scary, but I certainly am not going to discourage it.

Shaun is home from school today, it appears he may have torn a ligament in the side of his knee. It happened at school first thing this morning. He has a knee immobilizer and crutches, he goes to physical therapy later this afternoon and we'll know more.

Hope everyone has a great day!

A 13 year old science geek would very likely enjoy the Space Center. Our oldest DGS also calls himself a geek, but tells me it is ok because all those people will be working for him one day! :rotfl: And ya know, I think he is probably right!

I guess you are right. I sholud have buried it. :confused3 My 8 year old is still sad :guilty: I think with the new dog and all the craziness, we will hold off till later on buying a new one.
Mark

Mark--I'm sure it will be fine. I've never met an adult that was emotionally traumatized because their parents flushed a fish when they were little. Remember the Cosby Show episode where they flushed the fish? If Dr. Huxtable did it, I'm sure it will be ok. When DS was little (like 3) we went through about 5 goldfish in a month, they kept dying after a week or so, we kept replacing them every time. When we finally got tired of buying new fish, we packed the fish bowl away. DS didn't notice until like two months later.

Did you guys see this...... It's OFFICIAL! Magic is going to Europe - Summer 2007! Wow this would be wonderful~!! Emily and I would love to do this for our 15 year anniversary.

YES!! I'm thinking May transatlantic repro cruise. Just like the classic days of sailing! :sail: Too cool! :smooth:

That will teach me to be off the boards for more than two hours!!! I'm soooo excited and I don't even know if this is something that we'd do, it's just exciting!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

With so many people wanting to do the ruins tour, we should put a group together & book with the guide that has been recommended on the board.

A good friend of mine came to town for a business meeting today. He and his family went on the Magic this past December. They took the ruins tour and said it was well worth the time. I think my DW and I will go on this tour. :thumbsup2

if this pans out to be true, we may be cancelling this cruise!!

I want to do a repo but DH doesn't know if he can get the time off......:(
