Hi guys,

It's past 10:30 and I just got home a little while ago from my school board meeting. I left the house at 6:45 this morning! Well, at least I'm home and not in DC like Mike. Tough budget problems, levy issues, and cuts if we can't pass. No fun at all. Had to play with the dog a bit or she gets really mad, so now I am getting my nightly DIS fix.

I got the DCL CC thing in the mail today. It was a bit strange. It said in the letter "welcome back home from your West Coast Trip" - what West Coast Trip? The farthest West I've been in my life is St. Louis!

Anyway, it came with a CD that I don't want to take the time now to mess with, and also with an offer of a reduced rate if we book a cruise this coming fall - and you guessed it, our cruise date is one of the dates.

You are to call DCL or your travel agent with your CC number to "receive your benefits". I don't know if this helps any of us who have already booked, or if it makes absolutely no difference at all, but for CC members I guess it would not hurt to call.

Lisa, if you have time, can you check with DU and see if they know anything about this - and if it gets us an even better deal? Hate to do that to you, but I know I wont have any time until the weekend at the soonest. I spent the entire day in Union Negotiations in Cleveland. Those of you in CA who remember the grocery strike there recently . . . we are dealing with similar issues here. The '05 cruisers know I came very close to canceling in '05 because of these negotiations, and we are now back at the table.

Just thought you all may want to know about that letter - if anyone gets any feedback on it, let us know!

ROFL! YES! I saw that this afternoon when I read the letter. I guess that they over printed & don't want to waste paper. I didn't think that it was a better deal, just their standard thing. I seriously doubt that they will be able to give us a better price than we got with DU last summer.

Hmmm...starting at 959 per adult? Just for the cruise cost not including taxes or port fees. Nah! On the bottom is says that this is for a cat 11. For the 10 on the site it is running 1150.51 for adults so deduct the 150 for port charges & this isn't exactly a deal just for CC members.
