Pyramid,

Having the website made a difference on the cruise. You immediately recognized people on the cruise. It was nice to run into people all over the ship and I still felt like I had privacy too. Our DIS group on the 12/10 cruise wasn't as active as some others have been, but I think we bonded pretty well. As you can see from this thread, we are a chatty bunch.

Mark, your pic and info isn't on the site yet. It doesn't mean Lisa doesn't have it though. You also said you went to South Coast. When I was at UC Irvine I went to Mariners. Kenton Beshore was the senior pastor. I think he is at South Coast now.

I go to Anaheim Free Meth. It was where I went when I was younger. My dad was the pastor there. He is now retired, but still goes there. My dad, 2 uncles, grandfather, sister-in-law and 2 distant cousins were/are pastors. So I am a PK and definitely have lived up to that PK reputation as well.

I want to see!!!!! I just re-sent my stuff to Lisa. I sent the first one on my new laptop. So I might have messed it up. :confused3

What do you do for a living. Are you thinking of going into pastoring S/P?(minister) full time?

I just booked for the 12/9/06 Magic on Saturday. We went on our first DCL vacation last month. It was a 4 day land/3 night sea vacation. My kids, DS13 and DD10, wanted to go on a longer cruise, so my DH and I said why not? It looks like this thread has been going for awhile, I thought I was planning way ahead, guess not. There have been a couple of threads that weren't really impressed with Costa Maya, is it really that bad? We picked this cruise because of the dates and our favorite part of the other one was CC, we can't wait to go twice in one week.
Welcome to our gang Dutchgirlscout, glad you found us!!!!

Maybe. We'll have to see. After 17 years in restaurants (Sweet Tomatoes/Souplantation and Cheesecake Factory), I was ready for a change. I have my own cleaning business. This job is allowing me the time to figure out what's next.

Sounds exciting!!!! I know you will do what's right. I just re-sent my stuff to Lisa. I got a laptop for Christmas and still working out the bugs. I looked in my Draft box and there was the e-mail I thought I sent her on the 29th. O-well. Is it raining down there? I have not seen so much rain in a long time.
Mark

My neighbors fence blew down last night. I was lucky today . I got to sit in my office and watch the rain. It was kinda nice. I cant wait to be on Castaway Cay where it nice and warm!!!!

One of my best memory is sitting with my wife at Serenity Bay and sipping on a Bahamamama and talking...That was wonderful. The kids were in the kid thing. It was like we were dating again.

welcome to you. As far as Costa Maya, the ruins tours look the most interesting and I have read decent reviews on them. Otherwise, I may get off the ship for an hour and then spend the rest of the day on the ship. I hear the ship is pretty empty on port days

How funny, I went to Mariners on and off during college! DH and I attended Saddleback when we lived in Foothill Ranch (2 years) but during that time I attended the MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) program over at Mariners because DH's cousin was in charge of the MOPS program there. DH's cousin and cousin-in-law are still very active at Mariners. I have a difficult time at Mega churches. Even our church here is a tad big for me but DH and the kids love it. You have to really get plugged in to feel connected and I'm so busy as it is. I'm babbling....

Us too!! We really enjoyed it this trip. Did not even stop at the snorkel or family beaches. Went directly to paradise, did not pass Go.

Welcome, Dutch-Girl-Scout! This is a really nice group of people and we expect the group will grow alot over the next year. (I was not talking about waistlines!) :rotfl:
