Lisa, I thought my cousin WendyO was organized. Yikes....I do like the whole getting shopping done early though. I may have to try that out :teeth:

My problem with early shopping is that we either 1) put them away and then can't find them  or 2) go ahead and give them to the person we bought them for because we are excited about the gift. We did that with a set of oil paints we bought for one of our grandsons this year. Dennis got it early in Nov, but we knew how excited he would be to get it so we gave it to him that same day! :rotfl: Had to buy another gift for Christmas. :teeth:

Funny Dennis should say that. That is pretty much what I talked about. I hadn't gone to church in over 20 years. So I talked about my colorful life and where I'm at now...very cathartic.

Darn! He was right again! :sad2: He always is. :worship: Jordan, you are not helping here. :hyper2: :rotfl2:

ROFL! :) Not sure how we would be able to get the shirts to everyone. Do we just post the pattern & have people make their own transfers.

Also, those on the 12/10 cruise know about this but thought that I would throw it out there. IDK what can be put on the yahoo site, but I did a website for the group with family info, pictures, & our meet times so it was all in one place. It would be easy for me to update it for this group & add on the rest of the cruisers.

I remember reading that a password could be put on the Yahoo site if requested. I know that I hesitate to put much information on a site that can be easily found on a site like Yahoo. Just think about it this way, a group of people post who they are, where they live, and when their houses will be totally empty for 1-2 weeks while they are on the cruise. It seems like an easy hit list for a crook to me.

Lisa, you did a wonderful job on the website. It was very helpful and I felt secure putting my info on it. I would be in favor of your updating it using the same format for this group. I loved having the pictures.

We had a DISer have t-shirts made for the 10 day cruise 2004. They took orders and then had the shirts made. They delivered some at mini-meets prior to the cruise, mailed out a few and the rest of us picked them up at the terminal. WE LOOKED GOOD!! Everyone wanted to be us turquoise shirt people! :rotfl2: :rotfl: It would be quite a feat, but I would be willing to look into it.

That would describe me entirely!!!! HA HA.

Tshirts sound like a great idea!

Oh, the cost of the shirts was $15 which I thought was very reasonable for a good quality t-shirt.

Lisa-A pattern could be posted and each person could make their own iron transfers. I remember another thread on cruise meets for a mexico cruise where someone designed tshirts (there were limited designs as I remember) on a website and then everyone went into the website and ordered their own shirts. They were able to personalize them with their names, etc. but the like I said the designs were limited as I recalled and they certainly didn't have Disney designs.

I can do a search and see if I can find that info again and we can proceed whatever way once we decide.

I think that we would be able to be more creative with using Disney characters & even the words Disney Magic if we copied the design onto our own computers, printed them out onto iron on transfer paper & did it ourselves. We could also personalize them easily that way. I know that copyrights make it hard to get some things done by a company.

I'm fine with having one design and then everyone copying and ironing them on their own. If there are some who are tech-illiterate or iron-challenged :rotfl: then perhpas someone else can make them and send them to that family if requested.

Do we want to all put them on the same basic colored shirt - like a lime green or basic white or something?

Quite a few posts back, someone asked about character breakfasts when you only have 2 sea days. Anyone know how that works? We've only ever done the Eastern where there are 3 sea days. How does it work with 2 sea days?

Well, if we go with a white design then we can pick our favorite colors & go with that...or some could use a black outline on a lighter colored shirt. I am going to ask someone who has done this for another group for some suggestions on how to get started.

As far as the character breakfasts go...on the Western, they consider Key West day a partial sea day since you don't dock until after noon. We are going to have to see how they do this on the first double dip in May. I am thinking that we will be skipping it this time.

I think someone already pointed this out, but it does seem that there are more West Coast people going on this cruise. I am certainly glad. It means I won't be having conversations with myself too often. Although, it looks like I am alone right now......

Well, if there are any hockey fans out there, gimme a holla. I am a big Ducks fan. They unfortunately didn't play any hockey games while we were on board a few weeks ago. I actually don't think I would've been able to fit any games in, I was so busy the whole week. I didn't even see one show.

As far as the whole yahoo groups thing, I would like more information so I can join in......
