I just have to tell you all today I went to the Dr. because I have yet another sinus infection. They want to peel off my face and scrape my sinuses out. Yuck! Anyway, they gave me a ton of drugs so I won't get pneumonia like Carla and told me to use alternate birth control if I needed it. My first thought was if I take all these I could get pregnant. That would be cool. I just love reading about all of your kids it is such a happy thing to hear parents, albiet frustrated, loving and taking care of thier children. It is a good thing.

I had to have my sinuses scrape 13 years ago. I was more painful than getting my tonsils removed but it sure did the job. I rarely have a sinus infection that I cannot beat without antibiotics. I used to be on antibiotics four or five times a year because of my sinuses. I know it hurts and you really look like you got beat up but I wish the doctor would have recommended it to me a long time before I had it done.

Back from the gym, not so busy today, I think everyone was at lunch (actually). I have been pretty slacking. Samantha's birthday is on Tuesday (next week) and I haven't even ordered her cake.

I haven't even got any goodies for her classmates either.....I know they are walking to the hospital to TOT on Tuesday...so they will have plenty of sugar...I should ask the teacher which day is better for cake.

Those cakes are so cool. I wish we could get cakes like that up here.

That is a problem! I do often get impatient with external auditors at the local level (and with E&Y who does most of our bigger units) when they are not as efficient as they should be. I just finished with one such situation that had to end up being a TWO year audit. That is unacceptable in my mind .... particularly when we are paying for this very expensive torture!

My auditors won't even think about coming into to start our audit until I have supplied them with four of their worksheets. I used to work as an auditor. the first year that I was with our agency the auditors were doing our bank recs. it took them almost three weeks at our office to finish the field work. the lady before me decided that every subfund had to have its own bank account. she also decided there was no reason to reconcile the bank accounts because the financials would tell her how much money each of the subfunds had in it. the second year the auditors came in, I had most of their worksheets done. it took them 3 days to do our audit. they supply me with the form for the financials & I plug in the numbers for their worksheet. they have a lot of problems determining what is unrestricted, temporarily restricted, and permanently restricted. It is very frustrating when you know more then they do.

I CAN TOP THE BATHROOM BAT ONE TODAY! DH & I were at the front door watching the kids walk home from the bus stop. I saw DD drop her backpack but then I turned to pick something up. DH said OMG! Did you see what she just did. Apparently she had to use the bathroom really bad. When they cut across the yard on the corner she stopped, dropped, and peed next to a tree.

Home work is done, DD in bed. Doing the happy dance!!!! I admit to getting an electric blanket this evening for her to get her to stay in her own bed.

Last night the 2A visit just did me in this morning. What could I say though when I grumbled "Why can't you stay in your own bed!" She replied "How can you expect me to do that with all of this body heat in your bed"

OK lets see if I understand this. DH can let me and the kids out at the shuttle drop off without our luggage. We can go in and get checked in (or at least get our boarding pass) while DH gets in the "car line" and drops off the luggage, parks across the street and meets us inside the terminal. Is that correct? Is the car line long? Wouldn't it be easier for all of us to pull up, drop off our luggage, park across the street and then walk to the terminal together? That is what we did last year but we were not there right at 10:00.

Can kids have electric blankets now? I WONDERED in my desperation after I purchased it. Does it cause reproductive issues? I recall having them at my best friends house and she had 4 kids so I am some how thinking that is not correct. I'll need to google it. Gee, am I a bad parent now? Is she going to be a genetic wonder like the cheerleader??

Are you serious???? I have never heard that before & had an electric blanket growing up. Trust me, I didn't have any reproductive issues.
