Hi all,
Finally caught up on so many posts. Been busy with sewing and other craftiness (have to get the Halloween costumes finished!). DD8's Bo Peep costume and accessories are finished. About halfway finished with DS3's Captain Feathersword. DD13 finally decided to be..... are you candy fans ready for this.... the Candy Corn Fairy! We'll make a candy corn "dress" costume, then she's adding a tiara and wand.

Got through the weekend sports, too. DD8 played goalie for the first time this season (where they follow rules seriously and keep score). And I played golf in a couples tournament with DH and friends of ours. It was fun and a great, easy experience for this first-time golfer.

Have to head out soon to see the last home field hockey game.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Mickey calls it the only Mousekedance? I'm not sure what that refers to though.
You got it Brack! My DS LOVES  that show!

He keeps telling me...all I want from disney is a "Mickey Mouse Katool." I just hope he can find something to satisfy him!

I went to the dollar tree. I got lots of cool stuff for the Halloween party. All I need now is the rest of the food...we will be all set!

very cool Karen! Scorpio's rock!

Back from the gym, not so busy today, I think everyone was at lunch (actually). I have been pretty slacking. Samantha's birthday is on Tuesday (next week) and I haven't even ordered her cake.

She wants this one....go figure...

I haven't even got any goodies for her classmates either.....I know they are walking to the hospital to TOT on Tuesday...so they will have plenty of sugar...I should ask the teacher which day is better for cake.
Those cakes are awesome! I love the pirate ship!

I have a reallly funy story to tell you all and I can't believe I haven't shared this until now....

When we went on our very first Disney cruise, we went to Grills the night before our cruise....well, we sat beside this table of 4 elderly people (2 couples). At the end of the meal, they asked us if we were locals or visiting...we explained we were going on a cruise and were very excited. Both couples lived at Cocoa Beach in some condos down the road.

Somehow ---- can't remember all the details ----- this one couple said - oh - we'll wave to you tomorrow night when you're pulling out. That lead to them saying, "Hey - we should make a sign so you can see us." Somethinkg along the lines of "wouldn't your boys be surprised to see their names on a sign" etc.

Well, they told us what to look for (3 story high white condo building...their condo was on the corner ... top floor, etc. Got our names...etc.

We said - okay - we've got our binoculars...we'll check you guys out.

To this day - I don't know if I really saw the sign or not....but I swear that as I was scanning the beach area as we were pulling out, I saw the sign.

Well, when we got home from our cruise...there was this huge white sheet that had been painted in black "Bon Voyage Eric and Adam ". This too sweet elderly couple had painted, hung, and then sent us this awesome sign/sheet.

I found it the other day when I was getting out our cruise stuff. I still have their names. We sent them this martini set as a little thank you b/c they said they would be on their balcony with the sign.

Finding the sign/sheet reminded me of all the magic that is in store for all of us.

It truly was a magical time!!!
What a great story! That is so awesome!

Allie loves MM Clubhouse! She could watch it and Wiggles 24 hours a day and be perfectly happy. Have you seen the toys? I have seen pictures online but I guess they are really hard to find. I want to get her the set for her 2nd birthday in January. I am hoping after Christmas they will be easier to find.

of course I am a Publix gal (sorry John1 and John2), they originated in Lakeland and I love them. I am not sure how far past GA they have gone.....To me the cakes are pretty reasonable. The princess and bear - I've never paid over $30 for. I think that's cheap since there is quite a bit of work to them. The princess one, since it's "Disney" they cannot make it into Halloween or any other colors. The bear they do for every occasion! The kids seem to really like them. I think all the girls in Samantha's class have always had the castle cake!

Karen - what a great story! That is very cool!!

So are all of us getting to the port going to cause a traffic jam? I still am not getting what Lisa is talking about. If someone could break it down for me exactly what DH should do.
I pay at least 30 bucks for a plain ole sheet cake around here!!! I can't believe how nice they are. That is a CHEAP price!

Something interesting I have noticed with Allie the last few days (since she has been watching WAY too much TV ;) ) is how she says the character names. She will say most characters names in a normal but excited voice: "Mickey", "Da Duck", "Pooh", etc.. but when she says a princess name she kind of whispers it with this kind of dreamy sound to her voice. "Rella", "Ariel", "Belle", etc..

It is so funny! You can tell she really is falling in love with the princesses!

DS doesn't really like the Wiggles. That surprises me because he loves music. I have seen some MMCH stuff at the Disney Store.
