Oh, yeah. I had forgotten about Dina's non DIS boyfriend, a little brother in the troop. She loved playing with him all last year and it continues... that girl loves her little men!

DW: she also wants to do a TeenClub thing for "Beginning to Crochet", Nov 2. at the school. Talk to her about it...

Isn't it nice how this board brings families together???!!!

You'll appriciate this one Brandi. Dina was looking through older pictures and came across one of my best friend's son Jacob when he was 2 (he's 11 now). I told her it was Jacob and she asked if it was her new friend Jacob. I explained who it was, but she said "But it's like my friend Jacob, right?" :goodvibes

Sarah, DD12, was put on "probation" by her piano teacher yesterday. She wants her to start paying for her own lessons since she isn't practicing. I am making her create a schedule that will show her that she actually does have time.

Just a quick check-up log in, and there it was - ripe for the takin'.

I'm probably the only one who cares about the minor ones any more - since I am not a member of any 1,000 club.

I like the minor pirates too!!! My motto - Any booty is good booty!

 Aaron!

DH is home again today with Allie and her pink eyes. At least he gets some more DIS time.

BTW in case you have forgotten:

1. Allie does require occassional food and snacks. Go make her lunch now. Give her a snack about 30 minutes after she wakes up from her nap - there are goldfish crackers in the pantry.
2. At some point today she will probably want out of her pajamas - a pair of sweat pants (black ones are clean) and a clean t-shirt will be both comfortable and fashionable for her day at home.
3. She probably needs a diaper change at the same time you are dressing her.
4. More eyedrops again after her nap.
5. While she is napping please sweep and mop the kitchen floor.
6. Make sure you don't lose her puppy and be sure to include the puppy in any important activities like Purell-ing hands, playing peek-a-boo or watching Wiggles.
7. Brown the hamburger meat in the fridge so I can make your favorite soup tomorrow in the crockpot.
8. Do whatever else I tell you to do when I call next time. :)

Yeas, but I witnessed signs of withdrawal...

She came home from the church meeting last night and when I told her she missed the big 40,000 mark, she said "I don't care...I'm busy!" I just about fell on the floor....I almost said..."but Master, you..you...have failed me..."

She said WHAT?!!!!!

Too busy for the Dis...

I had a mom do that to one of my students. If the mom felt she did not use her time wisely that week and failed to practice then she had to pay for her own lesson. It was awkward for me...but that was her parents decision. It only ever happened 2 times. The second time she showed up with all coins!!!! :rotfl: It did work. A little hit on their money can really motivate. This of course only works if the kid actually wants to play the inst. If they are not intersted then you are just wasting your time and thier money.

I just put Eliza back for an early nap. She did not have her AM one because of my DR appt. Anyway, she is angry and SUPER SLEEPY!!! She was just screaming her little head off. Jake just came out of his room (he is playing Thomas.) Anyway, he said "I think Liza needs a bottle or something. She is really crying." I said "Don't you like to her your sister cry?" His response" Mommy, she is just a baby and it is our job to tect her, don't you remember?"

tect = protect

Awww....he does listen to me!!!! (I always tell him that he must help us protect her) This is usually in conjunction with his punishment for knocking her over or taking a toy...but HE LISTENS TO ME!!! And he loves his little Liza!

That is too sweet for words! Let's hope he remembers this when she's 16.

DH just called me. He is on his way home from a job in MT. Pocono. He is really annoyed. The job MUST be done by Monday or the fines will start rolling out. He did not finish because they are having a torrential down pour. He was setting permanant signs (which require cement) and could not do it. So now he has to work tomorrow. This is only his second time ever working on a Saturday! I think he gets annoyed because what he does is always the first (those road work ahead signs) and last part (permanant signs) job that needs to get done. If they run behind doing the stuff in the middle he and his crew are the guys who get "yelled" at and need to work crazy long hours to get it done on time. It would probably annoy me too!
