HAven't you guys heard that little kids have magnets built into their fingers? That's how they grab things they aren't supposed to.

Then as they get older, the magnetic force tends to fade...that's why older kids and teens tend to loose things.

I'm telling ya - they are born this way!

That explains how DD did it! She was 2 and I heard "help! Help me mommy!" coming from the kitchen. I went in there & couldn't find DD then was startled to hear her again coming from above me! She had climbed onto the fridge without the use of a chair...just the cabinets next to it. OY!

I had to google to check a spelling (since I never saw it written; just heard it growing up). Seems there are a lot of spellings out there for the stuffed cabbage roll things (and I never liked them!) Golomki, Galabki...
That is just another one of those regional things. I am also not real fond of them!!!!!

There are MANY polish kids at the school where I teach. Trust me...they ALL eat school lunch when they serve pierogies! Anyway you talk about galumpkes. If it is the same thing (cabbage and stuff) they call it halupkies. They sell them at every firemans carnival and block party in the area!

My GP's version of galumkes was a ground meat and rice mixture rolled in cabbage leaves and cooked in a pressure cooker in a tomato kinda broth.

My family also makes homemade pierogies for easter/xmas. They're alot of work though. Yeah another thing i need to learn to make.

I only recently mastered my families potato salad so i'm taking ti easy this year.

Do you mean "fluff" as in the white marshmallow stuff or "fluff" as in all of the useless mindless posts that have happened to get to 40,000....
They are not useless....everyone counted to get us to this point!

Just got the call from the daycare that DD's pinkeye has spread from her left eye to her right eye now so I am off to pick her up. :sad2: Poor little thing...now she has to have those terrible drops in both of her eyes every 3 hours.

I am surprised that they didn't tell you to put it in both eyes to prevent that from happening. :grouphug: Poor kid!

Don't worry Vanessa, my kids have had worse. :goodvibes

Amazing what some kids can handle, spicy wise. The only thing I would suggest is to watch her diaper that it doesn't cause a rash. If not, let her enjoy!

The 2 yo I nannied use to eat homemade jalopenos out of the jar with her dad. I couldn't even try them.

That is exactly how they make them around here. The only difference. They call them halupkies. The teachers and kids all love them....I just pass! More for them!
