Ummmm....I was dising and did not remember to defrost anything!!! They were easy! They were quick! My family ate them without any complaints!!!! We followed it with a chaser of applesauce! How about that! (Except I didn't eat the applesauce...I fed that to the kids....I just ate the whole apple.)

I like to eat apple butter with my pierogies. I used to like to make them from scratch. a fun project.

Dead serious. DS will eat chicken nuggets & tenders, beef hotdogs, and pizza with cheese & pepperoni. That is basically it for main foods. For lunch he has a nutrigrain bar, pretzles, and fruit snacks. He wont eat cheese, bread, noodles, fruit, or vegies. The only fruit product he will touch is apple sauce on occasion. He does like biscuits & garlic toast. The only dairy he will eat is yogurt & that has dropped off considerably. Another thing that I have to make sure of is that NOTHING except what he will eat is on the plate. I have to tell them to leave the vegies off on the ship or he wont touch any of it.


Giona also eats poorly. and Jaea eats everything including sushi and many foods that I don't even eat.

Giona lives on carbs which I think is very bad - too much sugar. He eats pasta, bread. milk and yogurt. We talk about the 5 a day all the time and sometimes I can get him to eat one fruit or vegetable.

I can't really figure it out. Some of it is laziness, he has some issues with texture. and he also does not like his plate too crowded or too many choices.
He seems to function better with this narrower group of choices.

He was sick for several weeks over the summer and lost several pounds and we just can't get it back on. Before he got sick, I found that gap 5 slim pants fit him and now even those are too big in the waist and he will be 6 in Jan. He is wearing too short size 4 pants which he doesn't even have to unsnap to get on.

I talked to his dr. about it but you can tell their training includes nothing about nutrition. She suggested asparagus because it is sweet. I would really like to do something because I feel it will improve his overall health, stamina and performance at school.

It's very stressful because the rest of us like ethnic foods but his diet is so bland we end up not eating what we want to.

DS's major issue is his sense of smell. It is super sensitive. He wont be in the room with bread, PB, or anything that has much of an odor.

So that's how we hit 40000 today????? You guys are killing me here! I have been working my butt off today begging for the school. We managed to get some great donations for auction baskets for the carnival. I also found a bunch of scrapbook stuff 75% off at Target for the 2nd grade basket for our contribution. After rushing home to meet the kids at 3, I made cupcakes for DD's party and ordered balloons to pick up at 4:30. I helped DS write a story about his field trip and DD put together the goodie bags to hand out to her friends at the party. We got there on time with the balloons. The party was so easy!!! We got home & cleaned up, got the kids bathed, and into bed. Tomorrow will be at the school all day again. I can't wait until NEXT Saturday when this carnival is over with!

It sounds like DD had a great time at the party. That is wonderful. Anything easy for mom is even better!!!!

my german stinks. Ken lived in Switzerland for a year and I can follow along a basic conversation but that's about all.

My German stinks too....one of those langauges you use or lose....

Hmmmm???? About the pot pie thing.....I say, when in Rome do as the Romans do. Well, I didn't actually say that, but I am agreeing with the "coiner of the phrase". When I was little we used to eat at the "Chicken Pie Shop'. Notice that it wasn't the "Chicken POT Pie Shop". They were chicken pies with a crust. They had chicken pot pie as a filling.

No...no wild life....it is my DS...WTH is he doing in here? He was half under our bed and just his little legs were sticking out. I have no idea when he arrived or why he was part under the bed...but there he was. I almost kicked my DS!!!!! Almost...but I didn't!

I just pulled him out and threw him in his bed. He still is sleeping.
