Lighthouse Point man stabbed in chest by stingray

ASSOCIATED PRESS

LIGHTHOUSE POINT -- A man was in critical condition Thursday morning, a day after a stingray jumped onto his boat and stabbed him in the chest, leaving a foot-long barb stuck in him, authorities said.

How weird is that? I don't think I have ever seen a stingray "jump" completely out of the water.

Extremely weird! I hope he ends up ok. That first line could have been written better though. It made me chuckle when it is something so serious.

..."Son with little information: Part 2"

The next day...
DM (Dis Me or Dis Mom): Hey, hon, what's this?

DS: My script

DM: I see that...and we had this discussion yesterday. What is it for and why are you bringing it home?

DS: For Drama Club. I don't know.

DM: So you bring this home every day...are we supposed to study it?

DS: I guess.

DM: Okay - let's do that.

DS: I already know my part.

DM: Okay - so why did you bring it home if you already know you're part?

DS: I don't know. We were told to bring it home...

The next day...
...story continues...
:lmao: :rotfl2: I think I had this very same conversation a few times over the years. :rotfl2:

That is weird. Ever since Steve Irwin died from a stingray's barb I am sure we will hear about every time it happens. I am sure it is a really freak thing to occur.

But the weird thing is, I believe there were only 12 or so reported cases of someone dying from a stingray. But this guy hasn't dies, so maybe there are more occurances than we think. KWIM?

what's 80's night? Just playing 80's music? From pictures posted it looks like there is a skit or dress up? Anyone been?

and for those who have had the pleasure of nighttime entertainment what do you recommend (aside from the main shows)? Between my dad and Flounders and the club, I plan on painting the town!

They pick people from the audience to "participate." They dress up as various 80's artists, such as Bon Jovi and the Go Gos, and lip synch. It really is a hoot!

Actually I am going to need you to slow down. I predicted 40,000 for tomorrow evening and it looks like we will easily get there before then unless we stop posting as much! Caroline already doubts me...I can't give her any more ammunition against me! :rotfl:
I don't want anyone doubting my twin!!! POST PEOPLE POST!

I seriously want to know who makes children's clothing. Dina is getting into the 4s, but the waist is so large! I try to avoid 4T because sometimes they leave room for diapers making them bigger all around. Wait until you get into the older girls clothes, then it is the opposite! Too long and too tight in the waist!

That's okay - my boys wear uniforms. They often wear each others clothes and sometimes it is hard for me to get clothes in the right room/closet. Well, this AM, my oldest DS actually asked if I would buy him new pants since you could "see my skin" sticking out of the pants.

Keep in mind...this is the child with the great timing on providing information.. when he said this we were in the car on the way to school.

As they got out of the van, my jaw dropped...this kid had the worse case of high water pants on that I've ever seen. Clearly he was wearing his brother's pants.

:sad2:

okay - i'm a bad mom!

Just got the call from the daycare that DD's pinkeye has spread from her left eye to her right eye now so I am off to pick her up. :sad2: Poor little thing...now she has to have those terrible drops in both of her eyes every 3 hours.

:grouphug: Poor kid. How can you possibly keep a little one from rubbing her eyes?

If we hit it today, we will have exceeded them! Lisa, your projections will have to be adjusted too! Didn't you day something like 65000 by cruise time? If this keeps up it may be more like 70,000+!
