I am debating about whether to get baskets from Shirley for the kids. I think I am leaning towards getting them. Should I get two small baskets - one for each kid or get one really big one they can share?

I am being cheap and taking a tink, mickey, pooh, etc. wrapped up gift for the kids for each night. I think they will really like getting something new everyday.

I realized I only represent DH as this person who thinks this side of me is nuts. He is actually such a sweetheart. He just brought up a lemon square for me. He just made them this evening. He cooks by the way. I do not. Well I could but he's better at it and he actually LIKES it.

Can I clone your DH?

Did I read...oh....several hundred pages ago... ...that someone took the manifest and the ships layout and put people's name on thier cabin locations?

Just asking b/c I wanted to start to do that but I'm having trouble pulling a readable ships deck layout.

If someone has done that - let me know so I can cross this off my list.

Samantha's is Opal, Haley's is Amethyst - love that one! My grandma had huge superstitions about opal's, can't remember what exactly....but instead of opal they now do some pink thing which I don't care for.....and my birthstone = yuck! topaz/citrine....

I don't have lots of jewels....but diamonds, dark blue (black) sapphires and tanzanite are my favorites.

Hi Charlotte!

Our old Pastor spoke so slowly it was killing me to listen to him. Nick (our current and awesome pastor) is awesome. He and his DW were taking ballroom dance lessons. This past sermon he was doing the waltz (alone) and saying that is how many people move through life...they just try and glide along. Then he started to do the tango and he said that God wants us to be bold like the way you dance the tango. There were many other points but that was the best!

Sounds like you've got a winner there!

That was like our previous Pastor.....no need to make cruise packing lists in his sermons.

That is great! I gave up on my CJ... out of 12 people, we had 2 go MIA almost immediately, and a couple others who decided not to return CJs once we decided to end the group early. Out of everyone, I think not even half got their CJs back. How pathetic is that?? (DisneyFreakJackie didn't get hers back, and that sucks because she does such great work in everyone else's book!)

We had two groups and the main 12 person group is having just awful times too, some books haven't been moved since the spring. And to not get your own book back, just bad CJing, and I am a rookie. I hear that mine is on it's way back to me next week, I will take pics and post them on my .mac account. I hadn't seen a cj since July and was really getting worry, but they started moving again in September and now we have finished up.

Did you join the 2006/2007 Cj, I am in the second group of that CJ?

Well, I mentioned that DS messed up my plan for a sapphire,diamond, sapphire mother's ring. So I HAD to get a 3-diamond anniversary ring instead!

Oh busted... DH just came upstairs...He "sent her up at 7:30 - why is she still up". because your wife is addicted ADDICTED I tell you. In her masd quest to catch up she has ignored everyone and everything. DD can stay up until 10P sure that's fine - gotta read gotta read. Doesn't anyone understand I can't be behind any more than I am........ Gotta Go. He just asked whether I put her clothes out for tomorrow. May I say I HATE it when he's an adult I mean COME ON!! I'm an adult 24/7 7 days a week is it okay to break tradition for 30...uhm 60...okay 90 minutes!!!??? It's just so terribly unfair....

This was me yesterday afternoon.

I'd snuck back in (library) to catch up on posts. DH was taking the boys to their baseball games and I was going to meet them at the ball fields. I get a call on my cell from DH saying "Where are you? Aren't you coming to their games?"

(No dear, I'm STILL catching up on my DIS addiction. I'll be there in a minute, thank you very much.)

Jeez, it wasn't like I was missing their WEDDING or something!

And you'll be happy to know I got there with one whole minute to spare!

My engagement ring is just a plain stone (I love it don't get me wrong) but I told DH for our 10 year anniversary I want a wrap.

I also want a mothers ring..but like I said before...I don't know if I want a Christmas ring!

Last year I finished 7 years of not having a "paid" job. I couldn't wait to get back to "work" so I could get some rest! Isn't it funny how non "paid work" stuff can fill your day and burden your life more than "paid work" stuff? The trouble is you can't leave it at work because it is at home with you!

But, The school was lucky to have you there for PTO. It sounds like the current president is leaning extra heavy on you this year too. I hope you are pacing yourself.

Not really. She bounces ideas off me since noone else has organized a carnival there. I am saying no way to some stuff & she is a friend so is fine if I don't want to do anything.

From everything that I have seen posted on the main board, he could get jury duty delayed with a non refundable cruise.

I have never been called for Jury duty.

It's ok, I understand. DH is leaving for a week again tommorow. I am getting pretty good at this single parent gig though. The trick is to never sleep and only use the restroom at work so you can focus soley on her at home.

That is great PJ!! How cool. Are there pics posted anywhere? I have never done a circle Journal but would love to see it and get some ideas!!!

Tana it was my first CJ, I did it because I still had 12 long months (started with 23 months,) until the cruise and needed something to do, and what a great way to use up my paper scrapping supplies (heading to digital soon.) I will take pics of CJ when it come home next week!

I should have taken pics, of my pages in other's books, as I went along, but hated my camera at the time and always finished late at night, too tired to snap pics.
