I am debating about whether to get baskets from Shirley for the kids. I think I am leaning towards getting them. Should I get two small baskets - one for each kid or get one really big one they can share?

I just called Shirley, she wasn't there but I talked to Nona. She is going to get DD everything possible for an ariel princess. I was telling her what she liked and Nona said "so she is really a girly girl?". That would be my DD.

They were so nice!!!! Now I don't have to worry about it any more!

No haha! They are a single parent family with 9 kids. The dad died in 1992. They are from Tonga and the run a catering truck that does polynesian food at all the fairs and football games. They are on 2 private yachts cruising the virgin islands.

The dad died in 2004. He had a heart attack. They had businesses doing cement laying, tree trimming, catering and Polynesian luau entertainment when he died.

and Desperate Housewives is so not meeting my expectations this year. I wish Six Feet Under were still on and SATC.
What happened to all the juicy stuff? Was it too much for regular TV?

wow - bummer on that. Actually I think she may have only charged me for one even though I had three baskets, two for the girls and one for DH.....although the one for DH was signed SANDY....I thought that was very funny!

I read an article that it was the doctor's fault...but did the doctor write the wrong scrip or did the nurse program the machine incorrectly. I read that the machine was programmed to put out pain meds in 1 hour when they were supposed to be dispersed over 10 hours. Yikes!

So sad and scary.

A few years ago, I had to have foot surgery and the doctor actually wrote ON my leg with a sharpie pen "THIS LEG".

I kid you not.

I miss SATC, too!

I miss it alot, and the reruns on TBS just don't cut it. Some of the bad language and risque content is imperative to the funny factor. I mean, quite a bit of Samantha's words are cut out and sometimes they so make the scene.

They had so many people volunteer to help they had to cap it at 8,500. All the roads are blocked of and the bus is here.

that is what they do here...DH had knee surgery earlier in the year and they marked it with him awake and he initialed it as well.


I also painted his toes on the leg in question the night before just to be sure his memory was working!

When my mom had knee surgury, they wrote "this leg" on the correct leg...and "not the leg" on the other... I quess in case they did not check both legs.

I love so many of them....the first season, where Carrie narrated alot kind of drove me wild.

But I love when Big went to Paris to sweep Carrie off her feet!

Alright fellow creative Disers...need your help...

A friend of mine's parents will be having their house destroyed since the kind State of PA is taking over the land for a highway. They live near Philly. She is looking for an idea of what they can take/do as a keepsake from the house before it gets destroyed.

I mentioned take window moulding/doorframe moulding and create either a picture frame or mirror.

Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks!

When this happened to my Grandparent's barn (on a farm that was being taken for highway), we saved some of the weathered barn wood. My Dad still has it at home in HIS barn just waiting for me to make it into something, someday.

Get the whole family in front of the house for a group picture, then frame it in wood from the house? Too weird?

OK, Finally figured out, Sex and the City.

It is like doing crosswords trying to decode this stuff.

And Kim - how cool is that to have the bus there? I DID used to watch that show. It did bring tears to my eyes sometimes.

Amy will probably ask if you have seen Tye with his shirt off!
