I finally caught up. DS had a soccer game tonight right after a major downpour. I really thought they would cancel it but noooooo. well second quarter a kid on the other team took DS's feet out from underhim. It was obvious the other player was going to DS not the ball. Thank goodness the ref yellow carded him. DS was fine but said things were spinning pretty good-he hit his head on the ground when he went down. We played into the 3rd quarter but guess what--it got too dark to play. the other moms & I had been saying all along that it was going to be too dark to finish the game. they ended it while the teams were tied. the ref even admitted that he let the game go a little long just so another score could be made and the game could be counted as completed. by the time we got home, DS is tired and miserable, my head is throbbing and you guys had posted another 10 pages. Oh by the way, I tried to catch up when I got home from work but the storm was coming through and we lost power. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

OUCH!!! Glad to hear that DS is ok. There are quite a bit of injuries with soccer.

I have to admit, before I had children, bad behavior used to really bug me. Now I just feel so badly for the parents and I don't care one bit! I bet you $20 every parent on the planet has had to leave a gigantic tip because of the monster mess the kids made or ate nothing because they were to busy trying to fullfill the childs every whim.

Make you a deal. If you don't want to eat in the restaurant, you just come to my room, order whatever you want from any restaurant and let Allie run around to her hearts content.

From one parent to another, I hear you girl! Just try not to beat your head against the wall too many times.

Thanks Kim! You are actually making me tear up a little with such a nice offer. I know we will make it work but I am sure everyone knows how I felt. It is just a very difficult place to be in. I was embarassed and frustrated and angry and sad and just a huge mix of emotions. It is like having PMS!

Don't worry about the cruise. DD will be fine. As others have stated, she will probably be so tired that she falls asleep at the table. If that doesn't happen, the servers are great at keeping the kids under wraps. If you and DH want to have a meal alone and can't get flounders, I am sure several of your fellow disers would step up and keep DD & DS so that you can enjoy a wonderful dinner.
Enjoy them while you have them at this age. They grown up way too soon. I can remember when my DD & DS were younger. It seems like such a long time ago. Now DD makes dinner a lot because of me working late. We still sit down and eat at least twice a week together but I enjoyed it much more when we could do it more.

The necklace might stand out more from the dress if you shorten the chain a little. Tell Eliz. S. we look forward to meeting her onboard.

Thanks I plan on that. I also have to hem up the dress & hoop skirt underneath a bit so that she doesn't step on it while she is dancing. I am almost afraid that she is going to need something else to wear for the deck party. The small was too small though. At least this way she can wear it another couple years.
