I interviewed people for jobs all afternoon.

I asked the girl who set up the appointments if she had fun thinking what kind of an afternoon I would have. I swear I interviewed Forest Gumpp's extended family today. Except that Forest had more teeth than one of them, and more sense than several others.

Thank goodness I also got to interview some High School kids. They had more sense than the adults.

Can I just ask you all - is it unusual to have a school fundraiser, tshirt sale and school pictures all in the same month?

It's not even the money as much as the stress about getting all the paperwork filled out, checks written, paperwork returned etc.

Same kind of routine here - beginning of school. If they don't get it all started the holidays will be here before you know it.

It can drive you nuts.

Ok, for DrHug because I mostly listen to talk radio on the way to and from work. Our early morning man makes me smile and our evening commute duo cracks me up.

If jo jo is well behaved, pets are welcome at Knoebel's. People have them there all the time (mostly smaller ones though)

Abby doesn't qualify as small so we've never taken her. Casey is smaller but her hip displaysia keeps us from walking her too far. (that and she's the barker of our two)

Not really. We also have the fall carnival this month & the book fair just ended. This is just a busy time of the year is all. Tshirts will be for sale all year long. School pictures will be taken in the spring too more than likely.

thanks John - I hate opening the backpack each night because a whole new batch of papers fall out. I think they should separate the schoolwork from the less important fundraiser info.

isn't the notion of school pictures, soccer pictures a bit outdated in the age of cell phones that take pictures. Who really needs a stiff picture of their child with a fake leaf background? or will the future fiance's be mad if I can't produce them?

Are you going thru DCL transportation? If so, there are no reserved seats. That would be impossible at the airport with planes coming in late. Also, it will take longer than 40 minutes to get to the port from the airport.

Going from a resort and using DCL transport we have always had to check in with DCL in the lobby and let them know we are using the transport. Last trip we were picked up at OKW and there was only 2 other small families on the whole bus. Took us an hour or more, plus the lines were long when we got to the port - luckily we were able to use the CC line. They had stopped serving lunch in PC by the time we got on the ship.

JoJo is a silver haired toy poodle. About 11 pounds (soaking wet) and 13 years old.

I am wavering about the trip now. We'll see.

It didn't hit me last time but our nephew's bday is 6/24. His mom's is 5/24.

DD birthday is 8/23, DS birthday is 6/23. A couple years ago DS finally put together that my DB birthday 7/23. He thought there must be something special to have 3 birthdays in the family on the same day for three months.

DH birthday is 5/13. We always kid the heck out of him about friday the 13th. my DBF birthday is 4/13, her DD birthday is 10/13. We usually end up with one of those three being a friday a year. Also, I work with people with disabilities. One very special lady & I have been friends for 15 years. Each time we meet she asks how DH is and then proceeds to tell everyone that her birthday is the same day as DH. It just amazes me that she remembers so much about me and my family. We really don't socialize a lot anymore. We did a lot more 7 or 8 years ago but she still remembers my kids names and of course my DH birthday.

One more birthday thing. DFIL was born as a Ohio River Flood Baby. The 1937 flood occurred and nine months later there was a baby boom. Unfortantely, they did not keep records very well. WE always celebrate his birthday on Halloween. Well DFIL & DMIL went on a cruise a few years ago and he had to get a new birth certificate. It was dated 10/30/38. He was born at home and he said his morther sometimes got dates confused.
