Another sad day for humanity! Killing innocent children is another low.

All of what is happen in this world is designed to instill fear in us. Fear to live normally. It is wrong to have to live in fear.

One of my favorite books is Dune by Frank Herbert. I read it many years ago and in the first book was a litany about fear. I have used it for myself many times.

The Bene Gesserit Littainy against Fear.
Pg 19 of Dune

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Lisa - I don't have access to the news...why did he do it?

That area is right where I grew up...probably drove by that school many times.

Karen, they are saying that after he took his three kids to their bus stop, he went home & left suicide notes for his wife & kids. When he called his wife from the school before he killed anyone he told her that he was getting revenge for something that had happened 20 years ago. :( What those poor children went thru was just horrific. He shot them execution style with their feet bound.

No No No Dear Lisa...it was a blow up banana for the sail away party but I was the one sleeping in the parking lot! But now that I know Marielle will be at the Residence Inn...I'm gonna sleep in a real bed.

LOL! I thought that someone suggested the doll so that you could get some real rest. :rotfl:

What a day.

I just received word that my old massage therapist and dear friend passed away. She was 38. She had suffered from cancer...thought she kicked it...it came back and just tore thru her unbelievably fast. I'm in shock. She was a dear friend who never had a mean word to say about ANYONE. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this, Karen. :(

Nope, did not know it existed. I do have to say that Tide is also about the costliest stuff around, and not as often on sale. We use All or Cheer now, and we have to use HE because we have one of those efficient washers. (I am also a washer geek) :rotfl2:

John, so do I (on the washer)!!!! And so am I!!! When the dryer finally broke down and the repair man told me it was a fire hazard, I told DH I could not be trusted to go to the washing machine/dryer store by myself. It was like taking a drug addict to a cocaine store... I made the sales people talk to him on the phone because I could not control myself. I have laundry issues...

Our neighborhood has some quality candy handouts. Some of our friends even set aside special non-chocolate things for DD13 (she actually does not like chocolate; no allergies, just does not like it). She does have a candy corn addiction though, like the rest of us.

We give out good treats. Sometimes kids try to come back twice... DD never eats her candy, She just likes to run around with the kids. Every year I throw her whole bag of candy in a bowl and take it to one of my classes or work...

Lisa, we thought of you last night when she lost another tooth. It was a front tooth and so loose she could put it up front like Nanny McPhee. It was driving me bonkers!

actually I think we have one in the garage........we have many a thing from various grocery displays over the years. Nothing we have been able to use - well up to this point. I will John look. I may have secretly thrown it out on one of those days he was working and I was off.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes......

I found another nanner on ebay for about $9 USD and shipping about the same.

If i get it to FL, Do you think Shirley may have something at her store to blow it up?

I can just see putting it through the xray at the port, :rotfl2: or in our boarding pictures. :lmao:

alright I will leave you talking bananas so I can go get my girlies! (and see if I won that auction). I still need a pirate outfit.

I just had some Disney talk with a co-worker. Actually I was probably pretty rude. I heard AKL and had to butt in. I love talking Disney......;)
Me too!! Me too!! :yay: I've even done that in public. Then think "DOH!"" But I LOVE to talk Disney!!

Happy Birthday Kristina!!!

I see I'm still behind - I read the newest and go back to the oldest but its impossible. I stayed offline from work and stayed home today. I am never going to beat this stupid illness if I don't rest so I decided to rest. DD was home from school as well and she was WONDERFUL. Which was shocking as she has been such a hellion since last Monday. Phew. She read a book to me and we played a game.

Looks like I've missed many tragic events - wow I'll need to catch up here and the news.

Lisa your daughters paper from her folder was SO precious! One of those things to save.
