Did you have late dining then, John?

Shirley has noted to expect it to take twice as long to get anywhere with the shuttle traffic.

Regarding the library, I have read that there is an exchange bookshelf in the Cove Cafe.

Nope, early dining. We were in the dining room when DS said - "The Shuttle"!
we ran up to deck 10 where there was a crowd to watch.

Maybe it was just us being on the bus too, but I do not remember traffic hassles.

My DS just left. He started begging to sleep at his Grammy and Pappy's house. I called them (they live about a min. away) and they were very happy to have him come over. My mom loves the fact that he was cheering and dancing because he gets to sleep over. Eliza is in bed for the night....hum.....I think I will check back in tomorrow! :wave2:
Totally understand how your mom feels. We love that the GKs like to be with us too. :thumbsup2

Thanks for pointing out the trip report, Caroline. I have stayed up way too late to read most of it...will have to finish another day. I need to pop a couple peptos & some advil. DD is doing better but I am not feeling well at all. I am hoping that gets me thru the night. TTYT!

I just have to share this today.

Those of us who work in business and in offices may appreciate it.

This humor is right up my alley right now.

I know that I am way behind but I wanted to tell John1 that I have used these in the Management Conference I put on each February. Everyone thought these were great.

One more page until the year of my birth page!

Any more 1960'ers?

Brack, I read all of those posters and just kept laughing and laughing!

thanks lisa. it was the best thing i ever did for myself and my family.

Jill

Jill,

Lots of people that Amy knows have done this. Amy keeps saying she wants to do it, but it scares me. I worry about any kind of surgery, and read about some people having serious complications.

I am glad it worked out well for you.

John

Boy, was the weather yuck here today - all day rain and cold. REAL cold V - barely got above 50 today.

The ground is soaked too!

We still haven't turned on the heat yet though - I will push that as far as I can this year.

well being #1 --------------!!!

I am worried for my boys. LSU, Auburn, GA? Come on!!!

Our Trojans held on and won another. :cheer2: Washington State. Nasty place to play. DrHug and I went to a game there several years ago with the Portlan USC Alumni Club. It was the only time in many, many games we have attended over many years that we left early because we felt unsafe. The Cougar fans were throwing ice balls into the USC fan section, hit an old man on the head with one, then some young punks tried to pick a fight with this old man who was doing nothing but watching the game and holding his head. DrHug intervened and told them if they wanted to fight bring it on, several USC fans then stood up behind DrHug and the punks sat down and shut up. The harrassment with ice balls continued though. I went down to a security person by the field and told them people were being hurt up there and was told "we can't go into the stands." :confused3 Just there to keep us all off the field I guess. Anyway, we left the game with 5 minutes left on the clock because we felt unsafe. We walked in a fairly large group back to the bus and were called awful names several times on the walk. Pretty sad that those people don't understand that it is just a game and if you lose there is always next year. Which is what we have always seen at the games, "we'll see you next year!" 'Cuse my rambling but everytime I watch this game I get rilled up. We have not gone up there for a game since. The Alumni Assoc stopped sponsering trips too. This year they had a trip again, first in several years, but we were not interested in going there. :sad2:

You guys are funny - that is REAL cold to me.
I am breaking out the sweaters, yet still have the air on. I like the bundling up/snuggling up!!

I think when they first started doing these some years ago there were quite a few complications. They do them so often now though that, although it is still a difficult surgery, the outcomes are much better.
