Actually, when DVD first came out we made a rule to never replace what we already own.lbgraves said:Never get rid of what works. We still have a ton of Disney VHS movies. There is no way that I am going to ditch those & try to get them all on DVD.

Through life really, in high school I was a cheerleader, thought to be part of the popular crowd but I really wasn't.....I wasn't blonde or brunette and there were pretty much no other redheads in a senior class of 600+ . Guys definitely didn't go for the pale red head look in Florida.
I finally had to come to my own peace. And probably am still working on it. I cheered in college and the "pros" and I really never fit the mold of "that girl". I am different, I am what I am. I hope my grls can do the same. At least I know they won't be teased about red hair!
It's such a shame too. I honestly grew up with maybe two female great friends. I lived with guy roomies all through college.....it was SO much easier. I don't want my girls growing up thinking women are the enemy, but in actuality, they sometimes are.
goofyforlife said:not anymore.... My DD had two girls in the neighborhood chase start hitting her off the bus and followed my DD home (we live about 200 feet or so from the bus stop) and DD entered the house through the garage where she grabbed a can of soda and shook it then opened it on the girls that where now in our driveway.
Well after that happened both started hitting and kicking her. Then after they left, they tormented DD from outside our house by throwing yogurt at our door and telling DD they would kill our dog. DD called me in tears. (unfortunately i worked 45 mins from home at that time.) i called the police and a very nice operator called my DD and talked to her until she felt comfortable again. (she also gave dd a # to call her back if she needed to.)
I was so ticked and almost filed a peace order (restraining order) so kids would be removed from bus. (Yeah school didn't care because it wasn't on their property.) i didn't file because the girls' mothers came by the next morning and apologized profusely. (they were aware i had the police involved.)
But these girls continued to harass my dd during the year and kicked her and hit her. When dd came home with a bruised, swollen ankle from being kicked, I had to go to school several times because principal didn't want to be involved.

Pj
I ask because I made up a DVC logo from a screen capture and another DISer took it and uses it, i could tell because I made a mistake and never corrected it and it still shows in their avatar. I no longer use it in my signature. At least ask to use it, I say.

We discussed it a bit and she wasn't thrilled. Well I heard her this evening saying to DH "Dad, I have a BIG problem. I really really want to take skating lessons but Mumma mentioned a something something D class - I can't recall the letter but she said I needed to go in October. Dad! I have a real problem Dad."
DH didn't know what the heck she was talking about but I was chuckling.

We will probably have VHS until we can't buy/replace a player anymore.
lillygator said:I had to reread that list of prizes again. Then I told DH we would need to be making more day trips to the parks.
What I am very interested in HOW they are going to be giving them away at the parks. I think it would be so great to be a cast member that was going around looking for the perfect family, imagine their faces when you tell them they have won something.
It's finally Friday and I am amazed at what a little cash will do. I came home yesterday to the pavers being replaced and all the pool equipment (pump, etc) delivered. It's really going to be finished!!
