Sorry, but I have to vent! The local news stopped my laughing instantly.
Our mayor was arrested for a DUI a few months back. Now he is a good mayor and is great when it comes to things for the kids,ie Little league, but a DUI is a DUI to me. I don't care WHO you are! They just said he was convicted. Good. His loss of license is only for 3 months (usually at least 6) and that may be overturned. Something about the validity of the test used. Isn't this ALWAYS the excuse!? OY!

The newspaper also said that he had a woman in the car. He was parked somewhere with the car running. He was begging the officer to let him go and yelling that he would be ruining his family. The officer would be responsible for ruining HIS family?? Ummmm, how about taking responsibility for your own actions!?!?!

ewwww, sounds like a baddie. Is he up for re-election soon? I miss the days when something like this would cause a politician to resign from embarassment.

I was thinking about him yesterday. I know he was going to the mountains to meet up with DW, but I don't know if he said when he would be back.

ok, i killed an ice pack in ten minutes, this is crazy, I really can't do 12 hours on my feet anymore. And I only took my lunch break, no coffee breaks, although one of my staff members picked me up a hot chocolate from SB, how sweet.

I don't know if there is anything that would make someone resign anymore. I know he isn't up this year. He is good at being mayor, but nothing beats setting good examples. What I find to be the worst are the excuses. All you hear is how unfair the tests are and that you can't even have a beer anymore, or that "I was fine to drive." yadda, yadda, yadda.
