I don't think I will be on today. Lots to do! DD starting pre-school and DH coming home (so major house cleaning). Also dance and back-to-school-night! Let's see if I survive!!!

So, if you see me on here, KICK ME OFF!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

Did anyone ever volunteer to get a pirate flag? I'm not sure I'm caught up.

And did we want to make a lime green one with black skull or a regular pirate one?

i've got my sewing machine out so if we want a lime green one, I'll volunteer to do that.

Someone let me know if the job is taken or we still need it.

Hey Karen, You know we  volunteers. Guess the job is yours.....

(I was thinking a regular jolly roger flag with green mouse ears but whatever you come up with is fine)

OK guys, the pirate flag is handled unless you want to do something special or different . . . in chat last week Todd suggested that a lime green pirate flag would be kind of ummmmmmmmmm, let's just say not MANLY . . .

I have ordered two sizes of "Calico Jack Rackham" flags - one 12"x18", and one 3'x5'. These are replicas of the flags that flew on the Black Pearl in POC.

Here's a link to the flags . . .

ok - I am trying to finalize up an order from Oriental Trading...do you think I should get 200 lei's?
Lisa's manifest says 150 total, 79 and 71....

any thoughts?

:lmao:

What am I going to do for fun after this cruise? We all need to plan for the same date in 2008 so we can start a new thread (or just rename this one like others have done ;) ). With two years to plan surely most of us could save up enough and arrange to get the time off. Imagine how much more trouble we could get in then! LOL!

I know there are obstacles to certain times of the year. Like for example I know Brandi is a teacher and can’t get off work during the school year so she will need to plan to have another little one so she can be on maternity leave again! ;) We can solve any problem, right?

I am really going to be sad when you guys go next December but I guess I will console myself with a Thanksgiving week WDW trip. I mentioned it to DH last night and he thought it sounded like a good idea so I guess that will be our tentative plan for now. A new trip to plan with new spreadsheets! :cloud9: :lmao: I know we are going to love the 7 day cruise but we do also love WDW.

I have lots of trips I want to take with my kids and I don’t know how we are ever going to fit it all in. I always figured we could do WDW every other year and then take other non-Disney trips in the off years. Now I have this DCL cruise addiction thing to add into the mix. :sad2: I think I need to plan in advance the next 15 years of vacations!!!!

We know we want to take a trip out to Disneyland someday but I want to wait until the kids are older and can really do everything. We also figured that same trip we would try to visit San Diego and do the Zoo and Seaworld, etc..

I also want to take my kids to Washington D.C. when they are both school age to see some of the museums, White House, etc.. It is someplace I have always wanted to visit but I want my kids to be old enough to understand some of what we are seeing.

When my kids are teenagers I want to go to Europe at some point. I want to go back to Italy and show them where I lived as a kid and I also want to spend some time in the UK and Ireland. Plus no trip to Europe would be complete without at least a day trip to Disneyland Paris. ;)

We also want to visit Chicago and check out the Shedd Aquarium, Sears Tower, Navy Pier, Children’s’ Museum, etc.. I figure one summer we could easily spend a week’s vacation just touring that city’s attractions.

Nathan is already 4 and I figure I only have maybe 13 summers or so left before he goes to college to try to fit all this in. :scratchin How in the world am I going to fit all that in plus do WDW and DCL a lot? I just don’t have the time or money to make this work….I need to win the lottery! :rotfl:

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I thought the same thing when I tried to make a spreadsheet with our plans so I could see when was a good time for an adult evening and spa treatments, etc.. It got very crowded and just looking at it made me exhausted. :faint:

oooh - I should make a spreadsheet, too - I was trying to think of everything in my head - do you have it laid out by times, too - like the navigators?

decisions, decisions....definitely something I am not good at.

I went through last years cruise materials last night and am really starting to get psyched!! This is going to be a blast and I am sure 7 days is just not long enough.

Next year - the 12/1 appears the only Dec cruise that has available group space. I just can't take the time off. There is no one to do my work for me and the first week of the month is pretty much the core of my job. :( So 12/8 or 12/15 it will be. (tentatively booked on 12/15 a while ago)......so bummer......BUT 2008 --- when is everyone planning on going?

can this day go any slower? I am still trying to figure out how to get things to people. I have way too much princess stuff so the extras I will bring to dinner and give out to kids around us....I just checked the manifest and see a few names I need to make magnets for.

at least you know what you're bringing - LOL
I'm still trying to decide! :confused3

has anyone made any magnets yet? I am working on a couple. Last year's had the dates on them so I can't use all of them.

I haven't yet, but I want to - will probably be October/November before I have time

You know DrHug is truly a romantic and makes it so easy for me. His sis gave us a anniversary card (they went to Club 33 with us) and she wrote "to a couple that is an inspiration for all who wish for an never ending honeymoon." How sweet is that?

Oh my - that made me tear up!! so sweet
she sounds awesome - just like you and DrHug!!

Today I told DH that we will probably return from the vacation needing a vacation... I just can't seem to fit "relaxation" into our plans for this trip. :rotfl:
I'm starting to worry about that, too - although I haven't shared our schedule with DH yet :lmao:

Tomorrow is DGS's 17th birthday. While we were at Club 33 his other DGPs had a birthday party for him and they gave him a car!! We knew it was going to happen since they discussed it with us, but what fun to see his excitement! His father (not too involved in his life usually) brought it to him today as he wanted to put new tires on it for him. (DGS and DD lives with us, in case ya'll haven't picked up on that yet). Anyway, he is now the proud owner of a 1981 Toyota Corolla! His other grandpa put a new (well 40,000 miles) engine in it as it had a bit over 100,000 miles on it. It was so fun to watch him when his father brought it over. He also got a $40 gas card from his mom, and a $100 bill for gas from his father. He also got a call from local grocery/department store and starts his first job Wed. afternoon. He is a flying high young man today! No more school bus!, says he! :lmao:
How exciting and fun!! :bounce:

I was notified Friday morning that I would maybe have to be there tomorrow, then I had to call after 5 today to confirm. Sometimes the issues are settled without trial. :confused3 The last 2 weeks I was supposed to go, then it was canceled on the Monday. Makes me crazy, I tell my work I won't be in, then show up. :confused3
that's how it works here, too.

I did have to go in 1 day - the arguments were heard on both sides, and we were released for lunch. I couldn't have convicted because the prosecuting DA didn't present enough evidence in my mind, so I'm thinking the guy was innocent. Come back from lunch, and we're immediately released because the defendent plead GUILTY right after they dismissed us!! I was so mad! I wanted to find that kid and give him what for for wasting my morning!! :furious:

anyway...back to your regularly scheduled programming...

I know exactly what you mean Becka! In a way I don't want the trip to come because that will mean it also has to end. This will probably be the last year we will go during school. DD12 will have lots more work to make up and I don't want to stress her. Have the prices for next Dec. gone up alot already? I may just make a ressie for that this Dec for in case we don't go in the summer. I always have New Jersey week! Ahhhhhh....I just applied for a DV for DH so we can have it just for trips! :rotfl:
