I hope your parents are doing well. As someone who has a replaced hip I understand what he going through. Tell him I said that it is the best thing I have done for my body and to do his exercises. It's been just over a year for me and I walk better now than I did before the surgery.

Thanks Brack. My father went home from the hospital about 2 days ago. Recovery has been very hard. I think his body is so weak from the chemo that its shutting down on itself.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll be sure to encourage him to walk, but having energy has been an issue since he's had cancer.

B I N G O!
I signed up on every volunteer list in Elementery School and was never able to get on a committe. Now in Middle School the Choir director is begging for a Choir Booster group but I can't get the leader she's chosen to call me back. Well I'm sorry but I'm not going to just sit back and write checks whenever she wants them. I want to be involved in a way that lets me get to know the kids.

Oh My Gosh!!! Every person who signs up we take!!! Just last night we had every volunteer to show up at the school to decorate. We assigned everyone jobs and when we were done it was awesome. The other lady who coordinated the event with me personally called each person today to tell them thank you. I've been running errands and baking and decorating since 8AM...and I had more people show up at the school today. We love our volunteers and we welcome each and every one of them. We could never do the jobs we do without them. I'm so sorry that other schools are like that. Very sad.

Oh that one really got to me last year. I didn't see my kids the entire day for the carnival. I was at the school from 7:30 am until 10:30 pm when we finished cleaning up for the night. Well, I did have to go pick up DS at a field trip because he had gotten sick and brought him back to sleep in the nurse's office while I continued working. DH was able to pick him up an hour later & he took DD home too. He brought them to the carnival. This year I will be spending it with my family. Last year's wounds are still too fresh. I need to seperate myself from it.

Yes Lisa. I remember. My carnival is coming up in February. We were there till 12:30 at night cleaning up. And both my boys were with me. By the time I left, I could hardly walk from running around on those concrete school floors.
