Just remember also, Becka, that just because they grow up does not mean the trips together have to stop. Our kids are in their 20s and 30s and we still love going on trips with them, and they with us. We have just added more little family members to the mix.

That is true! We love to travel with my parents and my DH mom! We were all just at the beach together! My MIL is going with us on the cruise and we are going to Disney with my parents in June. It can be great traveling with your parents.

if you are going top MVMCP, are you dressing up? I was thinking it would be nice to take the family picture they give you in some kind of Disney Christmas shirts but haven't come across anything online. Maybe we'll just get some kind of Mickey holiday hat at the park?

BTW, we're going Thursday night. We haven't been before so not sure what to expect but I'm sure it will be great!

It is Junie B Jones and her Big Fat Mouth. Well, after hearing how my kids both have the magic in their hearts when it comes to all things Disney, a friend told me not to get that one. In it the kids write about what they want to be when they grow up. One kid says that they want to be MM. JBJ tells them that they can't possible grow up to be MM and let's just say that the other kids set her straight about that one.

I am now all caught up. I'll check with the judge tomorrow about borrowing his latop. I have to run now and make a quick dinner for DGS birthday. DD is out getting him a little cake for the family tonight. He is having a pizza party with a large group on Sat., but it just didn't seem right not to have cake today. Back later.

It is Junie B Jones and her Big Fat Mouth. Well, after hearing how my kids both have the magic in their hearts when it comes to all things Disney, a friend told me not to get that one. In it the kids write about what they want to be when they grow up. One kid says that they want to be MM. JBJ tells them that they can't possible grow up to be MM and let's just say that the other kids set her straight about that one.

Plus John , if you know someone who can sew and make the costume , I can get you a whole lot of pictures of the actual costume taken at Disney for all the details ...I am extremely anal when it comes to details ...this may be the best route to go ....But I know someone who has casted buttons ...the actual buckle pieces ...Like I said you could go extreme if you wanted .....I went past extreme on mine ...my DW still gives me grief cause I am updating some of the pieces to my costume ....

Not trying to steal the thunder here. But I cannot find any pal mickey swap threads. Are none being done anymore? Or does anyone here have a pal mickey that maybe would like to lend to us for our wdw part of the trip and we could give him back at the ship? Thanks guys. I just can't see paying for one if the boys won't play with him.

couldn't you have p.m.ed me or something about the JBJones books. Wyatt has been listening to them in the car and while I think she is a big mouth. I was willing to let is slide a bit but bad mouthing the mouse. No more for him. What does she say about him anyway?

OK, first of all I don't mind the JBJs books themselves. I found it challenging to read it to DS in Kindergarten because of her grammar. LOL! She presents alot of things that actually happen with kids and we read them together. Now DS is reading them on his own & has started trying to read all of the ones that we don't have. DD's teacher is reading them to the class & she enjoys telling me about them.

JBJ doesn't say anything mean about MM. It's the other kids who kill her illusions really. I know that my kids are older than some who are in on the mouse and I knew that it would end at some point but I guess that I was looking forward to one more cruise/trip before that happened. Who knows, I might be more upset about it than DS will be. I do NOT want to talk about the book and anything he might want to talk about from it in front of DD so she can still enjoy that part of it for a little longer.

John is there a special Mickey Santa hat? Or are you just bringing regular Santa hats? I don't want to buy Santa hats, pack them, and then see something better at WDW and buy that too, then we
d be lugging 8 Santa hats on the cruise.
