OK I will just have to tell everyone mine! Can't have any fun around you guys can I? :lmao:

I got a HUGE box of random items from Oriental Trading Company that have one special theme that is close to my heart: SMILIES!!!!!!! :sunny:

I have pinwheels, pencils, stickers, pens, key chains, hats, erasers, stickers (including some pirate smilie stickers pirate: ), etc.. all with a smilie theme! :yay:

Alas there are no banana smilies.... but I think they will be fun anyway. They are at least yellow.... ;)

OK Lisa - add it to the website the secret is out. How many of you already guessed when you saw the OT catalog? :lmao:

That is perfect for you!!! :thumbsup2

In case you didn't already notice, the tshirt design with the green background & rope border is on the first page of the website. :)

Thanks for the advice John but believe me I am not planning on doing this stuff just to get it off some checklist. We love to travel and I want my kids to experience so many things. Not because we think they need to but because we want to share these experiences as a family with them. These are places that DH and I really want to go and we want to share that with our kids. Of course I don’t envision us dragging our kids around on all-educational trips but if we do fun stuff like the zoo or an aquarium and they get something educational out of it then that is all the better as far as I am concerned.

We know we will go back to WDW and cruise at least a few more times before the kids leave home (God willing) but for some of our other trips I would prefer they are old enough to understand and enjoy it a little more. We really just need to do a lot of the advance planning so we can afford to do a few of things with them. Some of my favorite and happiest memories with the kids have been during our trips. We are away from the stresses of home and work and we get to spend days at a time together as a family. With us working full-time and the kids in full-time daycare we don’t often get that chance unless we do go away somewhere. We can and do spend quality time together here at home but it seems more special and fun if we are discovering new places/things together at the same time.

My list is of the place I want to go before I die, and because i am such a woos I take DD everywhere I go, ok not to Jackson Hole on our annual anniversary trip (My parents did bring her up on the last day last year though). DH has to travel A LOT and sometimes he gets to go to really cool places, like PJ Toronto last year. So DD and I went to and we got to see Niagra Falls. I got to check that one off my list of things to see before I die.... Now, how can I get him to have an conference at the Taj Mahal....

Okay I have been thinking about this , since we are going to be making a spectacle of ourselves on Pirate Night (well probably everynight ) I was thinking ...How many of you have actually gotten your DH's thier costume ??? Wouldnt it be great if we had the whole cast of POTC ??? We have enough people in our group that could look like all the charcters and it wouldnt take that much ...there is so much out there on the internet now through ebay and other resources that almost everyone could be one of the charcters ...So ...Heres just a little list that maybe you could add your hubby to one of the names ...Now I know the kids are going to dress like me and of course Davy Jones and ETC ..I would just like the Adults to try ..LOL

Captain Jack Sparrow - Me

Elizabeth -

Will Turner -

Captain Barbosa -

Commadore Norrington - (drunk Version would be funny)

Davey Jones -

Pintell -

Ragetti -

Mr. Gibbs-

Tia Dalma -

Bootstrap Bill -

Governor Swann -

Did I Miss any of the Other main Charcters ???? So if you have any questions about the charcters or need pictures to help make a costume I will help in anyway ..

I don't remember any fat women in that group, but I have the same costume your wife had last year only in about 20X the size. Wasn't there a sea beast or something?

Lisa - didn't someone mention getting the font without the shadow? It doesn't show up clear when printed. Is it an actual file that we can pull down and edit if we don't want the shadow?

Oh yeah....DS dressed in brown today..no problems! Thursday is purple...he doesn't own purple! He has one Easter/Spring shirt with light purple around the bottom. Maybe I will have to put that on him.

My Kids want me to make lunch...can you imagine...wanting to be fed at 12:15! :rotfl:

Brandi -- I can't imagine there will be a whole lot of boys who have much purple in their wardrobes... unless they are MN Vikings fans!

I already have DH's pirate stuff. It is a simple outfit. A long sleeved black poet shirt with the lacing at the neck. He wears black jeans with it. He wore a red sash with it last year but we could get a couple of accessories to add to it. Where would he fit in?
We already have our costumes. I already got DH and DS a Jack Sparrow costume. Eliza and I are "generic" pirates....we match though...it is cute and piratey!

Todd, do you still have the file with the best green background to take out the shadow? If you can fix that & send it to me in a JPEG file I can just add the rope border on my computer & replace it. Also, you can adjust the font size. :thumbsup2

Also, you didn't notice ANYTHING else about the site??? :cool1:

are there instructions? Is this what we add to the back of our shirt?

Yes, that will be for the shirt backs once Todd tweeks it just a bit. :) The rope border will help to eliminate the color difference since it will seperate it from the actual shirt. You need to get the dark iron on transfers though...right Todd?

Off to pick up the kiddos. Homework. Soccer. Figure out dinner. See you guys later!
