it's OK. No need to take sides yet. Study your NFL history. Learn of the Steel Curtain. See the grace of Swann and Stallworth.

I need a school that had Tri-delta on campus, at least. Need some kind of connection, lol.

Pj

Got that one covered. (at least we did in the 80s).

We don't get that attached to football up here, it is hockey for us. The Maple Leafs have not won since 1967, the season right after DM and DD got married, and we still think they are wonderful, lol.

John,

Did Lisa think Amy was shy or was she talking about someone else? Amy does not seem shy! All that golf with the homeless and now a grocery cart? Hardly a shy activity..

Kim

Kim,

Lisa has MET Amy . . .

You guys have brought out her real personality on the boards. We will see if is still there when you meet her. Lots of people think Amy is shy when they meet her - or they think she is aloof. She REALLY is shy when she first meets people, and is not talkative until she is comfortable with you.

When Lisa came to meet us at the beach before our cruise two cruises ago, Amy did not even want to come out to the pool to meet her. She was thinking crazy internet friends of John's! She did finally come out after much cajoling from me. Once she warmed up to Lisa, all that changed.

I used to be like that - but I am getting more and more like my father (who used to embarass me as a child). I like to talk to everyone. Amy now thinks I talk too much. I decided I liked meeting and getting to know people too much to keep being shy. I still don't hold a candle to a friend of mine though who is a real "Mr. Personality".

Besides I really love numbers. Number theory was my favorite class in college and I really should probably be in statistics or something. ;)

Math I love. Statistics?!?! :crazy2: (that really nasty smiley would be appropriate here! :rotfl: )

Jim Brown, Otto Grahm, Dante Lavelli, NFL Championships BEFORE the overhyped Superbowls . . .

I could actually drive to a OSU game, hmmmm

Pj

I have Browns season tickets. Only been to one OSU game.

I MUST say I had 10 times more fun at the OSU game than any recent Browns game. Of course, we have stunk since Art Modell stole our team and moved them to Baltimore.

And, BTW, how about that for fan loyalty? The ONLY team that moved that did not get to take their name, colors, and history with them. The only town that got their team back after a move with our colors, name and history.

Unfortunately, we still stink since that return.

Bedtime guys . . .

I will never be able to get up . . .

Groan . . .

Let's see, would that be the Art Modell-linked franchise.... or the expansion deal Browns?

Monday, Dec. 11 Chicago at St. Louis 8:30 p.m. (ESPN)
Thursday, Dec. 14 San Francisco at Seattle 8 p.m (NFL Network)

so... which game is not to miss?

Pj

Good night, John. I better stop. I'm sounding like a poor winner and a poor loser. All in fun.

How about those "Deal or No Deal" commercials?

Boy, are those girls hot!

Just want to see if the women flame me, after reading all the Johnny Depp and whatever the news guy's name is Cooper something or other posts . . .

John1

Just wondering John, would men who watch these shows STILL watch if it weren't for the women??? :confused3

What am I three days behind now?? i caught the football conversation just now and realized I totally forgot about football when I booked Palo. Shoot! I say this as I tried to get DH to help with some paperwork for DD and he was in the zone watching the game. I was the good doobie saying "hey I'd like to watch the game as well but we've had this paper sitting on the table since Tuesday night and I need to fill it out for the teacher!"

So Palo - it's going to just have to be negotiated and since it was one of his favorite experiences after CC that might be doable. Hmmmm

New smilie I made.

My family is a huge card playing group I grew up playing gin with my grandfather and hearts with my great uncle. Everything with my dad. Grandpa and Great Uncle were nationally ranked gin and bridge players during thier hayday. Well they all just assumed that everyone was like that and on a fishing trip, asked DH to join them in hearts. Well DH had never played cards and had no idea what he was doing. He did not want to feel stupid since everyone just assumed he knew what he was doing so he just threw cards down at random. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Everyone thought he was doing so well.... He does not like to play cards with me.

Maybe it kept them from talking too much science?? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
