It was smooth sailing once I got off 95 for the bridge to NJ. As we were driving, we passed by a place called Cowtown. I had been there once to watch a tractor-pull when I was younger. I stopped to see what they were having there tonight and it was a rodeo. Asked the kids if they wanted to see it and they said sure. We had about an hour and 1/2 to kill so we went doen the road and had dinner at a Richman's Diner. Richman's is a brand of ice cream. We didn't get any ice cream though.
Food was good though.

I hope my DVR picks it up, no way I'm gonna stay up for that.
Not that they are unappreciative, but I almost never got a thank you without some kind of prodding! And it was the 7yo who started the TYs. They must have really loved it!
There was a very fine drizzle so we went back to the car to get some blankets to sit on the wet benches and for cover if it started to rain. The rodeo goes on rain or shine! Well not really shine since it started at 7:30.
I didn't have my cell phone on me because I didn't feel like having it in my pocket and no one ever calls anyway. When I got back in the car I checked it and my mom had called. It owuld have been when we were eating.
Also, they would question why I would be going on a holiday weekend and at the tail end of Ernesto. TBC...
to hear you had such a good day! Somehow I just never connected rodeos with NJ though.
I just always have thought of that as a wild west thing. Very cool!
I really wish society did not put some much value into a person's appearance.
