I was hoping for another price reduction at disneyshopping before the weekend was over - but maybe it won't happen. Our nearest Disney store is an hour away so we are going to check it out today and see if there are any good sales.
we are just going to throw some clothes into a bag and head for Albany to do our back to school shopping - then movies and swim at the hotel. Our pool club closes this weekend but just way too cold here already for that - the water was like stepping into refrig. water a few days ago.
my daughter helped me pick out some cruise sandals yesterday - we have fun shopping together. she loves accessories - she doesn't care that much about the clothes but loves going to Claire's and Bath and Body works etc.
How is the shopping on board the ship - is it the same merchandise that is at Downtown Disney or different? Lots of cruise related stuff? I hope we won't be too busy to look - do they stay open until midnight?
I'm trying to think of all those pressing questions that I have never asked - I wish there were a more recent Navigator on one of the sites - anyone see one since the May cruise?
We just made reservations for the Nick hotel for the night we return from the cruise - then we fly home sunday evening. I'm not sure if we will go to Disney or not - maybe just hang out at Nick. or go to the Boardwalk or DTD. I was really hoping there was a MVMCP that evening but there isn't
I changed my reservations around for Sept. and now I can't get into the Norway Princess lunch. We will never meet Jasmine and Mulan.
I would actually have my picture taken with Mulan if we met her.
I will have to try at the podium when we get to Epcot.
Someday we will make a holiday trip and get to the MVMCP - we usually go in early Jan. and see all the decorations before they come down but never have made it to the party.
Wondering about Brandi's drive to the Outer Banks, since so much of Southeastern Virginia was flooded. A lot of people who drive from the north to the OB go down I-95 and then go east on I-64 at Richmond, head to the Hampton Roads region and then south to the OB. That area between Richmond and Hampton Roads (Hampton, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth) was hit hard with rain and flooding.
I need to finish up a few things here at home and then go to Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries/household stuff. I normally go to the grocery store for groceries but I have lots of non-grocery stuff to get (diapers, etc.) that are so much cheaper at WM and since I don't want to make two trips WM it will be even though it is Saturday!
I had fun in chat last night. I love being able to sit at home on Friday night and laugh so much with you guys. I hope we get a few chances to laugh together in person on the cruise.
Do most of you hit the adult clubs in the evenings? I know at least one of us will have to stay in the stateroom while the kids sleep but I thought maybe a few nights DH and I could take turns heading out to the clubs. As long as there are a few DISers there to hang out with it could be fun even by ourselves.
yes I am definitely planning on dancing - we don't get out much at home because of twinhood - so this is our big adult time- usually the vacations have been all about the kids too - so we are really trying to make adult fun a priority - I think this will be our best shot at it.
