Did I tell you we have to take extra clothes for DD this weekend so she won't smell like fish all day? Even though she carries it around in a bag the whole fair...

I have done some procrastination also. DGS has registration papers for HS that were to have been back by mail by today. Uh...we didn't get them mailed so I guess he and I will take them in today. Oh, he got a job yesterday! He just has to await the drug test results to get a start date. He will be doing the scut work at local grocery/dept store (nope not WM as we don't have one here in town ). It is Fred Meyers, which is a local chain that was bought out by Kroeger's. They kept the local name though. They said they will start him on can returns, which is according to the interviewer "the worst job in the store". It will be good for him. He will be 17 Sept 12. He will work 12-20 hours a week and start saving some college $$. Sheesh! You folks are because kids are starting preschool or KG and here we are sending grandson off to his first job. Really

No facials...but I did consider a nap...until a friend called to pick me up for lunch. I went to the grocery store and actually enjoyed it! Everything is put away and I'm just waiting. We are grilling burgers tonight since it is finally a clear day!

I'm off for awhile to do a little cleaning in the kitchen. It's a mess. What a way to spend my day off.

DH and I just stood there thinking, we just let our most precious thing on to a bus that we are not on? Are we crazy?

Exactly!! Fortunately you know the woman but doesn't every new event feel like that "We've just let our most precious thing do X (fill in blank) without us there or her wrapped in bubble wrap". It slays me at times.
Yesterday she showed me the flip on the high bar at the camp playground she perfected. My heart in my mouth I smiled a wan smile and thought Suck it up Carla you used to do the same thing. Actually come to think of it we used to spin around that thing like a forward roll to the other side. Yikes.

It is raining here and it is going to rain all weekend. DS has a birthday party tomorrow afternoon at the Little Gym for a classmate of his. I have to go to TRU to pick up a gift at lunch. DH has his game thing on Sunday with his buddies so it will just be me and the kids on Sunday afternoon. Other than that nothing planned....

We also have no plans this weekend. The heater man is coming this afternoon to look at our heat pump. It is leaking water on the floor and into the wall. Not good.

I was able to get an August birthday My Little Pony for the birthday girl. I hope she likes it and that she does not get 5 others.

Becka2000, Yes that is our fair, It sounds like yours. They have the animals and 4-H kids and tons of stuff, the boys got free waterbottles from the army booth and I got a cup. She will be going to other fairs, parades, lunchens, confrences and everything else they can squeeze in there, not to mention all the cloths shopping for "prom" dresses and then lunchen dresses, a pants suit, It is a good thing thoe that they have a buget with money in it for this. It won't come out of our pockets, but the gas and food maybe. Well better get going for today.
