Lisa - that is too funny - I've been taking advantage of all the sales at other stores that I was wondering if the grocery stores would have any sales.

I might add that our grocery store did have 10 boxes of the ziplock bags for $10. Seemed like a good deal - buck a box...but have you ever brought home 10 boxes of baggies? It was a storing nightmare.
I can imagine! When I was a kid we would go to sams club...then we would all try and figure out where in the heck to put all of the huge boxes!

Morning V.

Well - I'll be back to chat later. I'm in true vacation mode when I eat pancakes at 10 and head to the shower at 11. Yikes!
Sounds nice Karen! I am sure the boys are happy you are home all week!

I go to bed early last night and now I have 11 pages to catch up on. Of course I am also busy at work so catching up may have to wait. :(

I forgot to take DS's swim clothes to school with him this morning and he has water play this afternoon so I guess that is what I am doing for lunch.

Hopefully today will get a little less crazy and I will check in later! :)

Ahhhs the joys of motherhood...running your kids around...or running around for your kids!

We are watching Higglytown Heros....DS really likes that show. I think I am going to get him one on DVD for our drive to OBX next week.

Brandi - this is so great. HP on Monday, hanging by the pool on Tuesday...football scrimmage tonight, doing the local amusement kid thing on Wed, taking the kids out for lunch....I kinda have to catch up my whole summer stuff in one week. I just came downstairs and my DS said "Mommy, you smell beautiful." love it!!

Good News!

I am not the only parent today who can't remember anything. Before I ran all the way home I thought I would call the school just to check and make sure they were having water play today. Well enough parents forgot that they decided to cancel water play and just have an extended recess. :yay:

We have decided that the most economical way to get us and Aaron (from Phoenix) together to get to WDW will be to fly him here to Portland, rather than us trying to both get there. There are non-stop flights and he is an experienced traveler so I asked DS if he thought DGS could handle flying alone. DS asked DGS who said, "I think I can, but how would I get my luggage?" :confused3 AAAAWWWW. I can just imagine this 6 yo thinking about that big caroussel with the heavy luggage and wondering how he would get his suitcase off. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: DS explained that Grandma and Grandpa would be there to help him. So, his next question was, "How will I find Grandma?" :confused3 DS explained that the stewardess would stay right with him until Grandma had his hand. He :teeth: and said, yes, I can do that! :goodvibes

Ummmm....yes...and more than that...especially when it is triple coupons. :) I have been stockpiling for over 5 years now. Buy when on sale with coupons in bulk...that's my motto. :thumbsup2 The current deal....just got a third round in today...Cheerios...the BIG box. On sale 2.50 each. When you buy 4 boxes you get an automatic coupon taken off your order from GM for $4.00...so it goes down from $10 to $6. Use 2 75/2 blinkies that DND (only because I am not going to FL to get the ones that double with the kids) and you now have 4 boxes for $4.50. :) Yes...I could get the total down to $3.00 for 4 HUGE boxes of cheerios but like I said...the kids nullify that part of the deal for me. I have added 12 boxes to my cereal stash this week. :) I also loaded up on the cheese nips for lunchbox snacks. I shouldn't have to buy any of that kind of stuff for a while now. :)

Angie, neat idea....

Have you checked airline policy? Many will not fly kids that young by themselves.

Oh and just checking but was it you who had the 13yo DGD coming on the trip? i know that there are a couple out there but didn't see to many on the manifest list on Lisa's website.

Kristina....if you add my kids together you get 13 1/2. I'll be glad to send them up to you now. :teeth:

That is exactly how I shop!!! My Dh laughs but loves that I always manage to find a bargain!

grocery sales start Wed here as well.

Wed is water play for Haley and Fri is water play for Samantha....it's at the same school, different classrooms but don't ya think they could have made it easy on us parents and made them both on the same day?

Awwwww...come on now...you don't mean that!

Yes...today I do. This has been the first day since I started taking the meds that the kids have driven me to scream. There are currently tons of legos all over the floor in this room. They want to take the Thomas tracks out now. OY BOY!

So, Vanessa! Which stroller are you taking on the ship...the umbrella or the hummer? ;)

not the Hummer!! ;)

BTW - Can I ship liquor, wine or beer across the state? I just tried to look on UPS and couldn't find the answer. I think I am shipping the goodies and some water ahead of time but with the girls a rolling cooler would be great to leave at home if possile!
