I think DH is getting me a spa gc for my birthday so I can get a manicure and pedicure before the cruise. I have never had either (can you believe that!). When should I do this before the cruise so that it stills looks nice all week?

Also, are any of you ladies (or gentleman I suppose as well) going to sign up for any spa services on the cruise? I had a hot stone massage last time that left me feeling like a limp noodle. I am considering it again but it is so $$$$. I also thought about a facial but I just don't know. Any suggestions?

Oh Becka, on vacation I am the spa queen! I will at least have a facial, which is my very most favorite treatment. I will get the longest deep tissue available. If they have the head neck and shoulder massage I am there, and maybe a hot stone.... Facials are the greatest! And Elemis spa's have this new eye mask that is to die for!

We did our iPod shuffle mode display - next lets list what is in our netflix queue. Actually I was just in mine reshuffling it. I was thinking to go down to 1 movie vs. the three I have. There are times when I just want movie after movie and others they just sit there on my desk for weeks.

Methinks Spanx would be another thing you ladies would like - like the "snip / snip".

I can tell you that the sound of it does just NOT sound comfortable . . . Men wear things like boxers - loose fitting stuff - not stuff that is tight and elastic!

OUCH!

funny you should mention that John. I was in Target Saturday night and they had this shirt/underwear display of smooth line undergarments or something or other. I thought hmmm. Looks like spanx to me.

They do have them but they don't have as good of a name.... :lmao:

DH is watching Mythbusters again. Is this group going to have to find a TV to watch Mythbusters together on the cruise? :teeth: The Mythbusters withdrawal could be severe! :rotfl2:

I'm good to go on this! :thumbsup2

BTW - Total accident on this pirate:

I was still trying to catch up, and had no idea where we were!

I took my nephew to see Pirates 2. I went to the midnight opening so I wondered whether I would still find it entertaining the second time. I did. I still jumped and laughed at different sections

It is hard to sell non name brand clothing. I usually sell Gap and Gymboree. The 3T stuff I have up now was my sons clothing. I do sell kids clothing I get at yard sales. It is a fun way to make extra money. I have been doing it since my maternaty leave with my son. You start to know what will and what won't sell! Last week I sold a pocahontas costume that I got for 25 cents. It sold for $19 plus shipping!!!!! Things don't usually go that well...but sometimes!

Can I just say I LOVE gymboree gymbucks!

Kim, have you been to Cozumel before? There are armed guards there like I had never seen before. I was glad that someone in the DIS group had mentioned them because I would have worried something was wrong.

I was there in 1998 before DD was born, but I did not remember the guards. Thanks for the heads up. I don't think DD has ever seen a real gun before. Paint Guns, maybe DH or DF rifle.... I just really don't know if I should say something or wait or ?.....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Why didn't someone tell me that before! :faint: I can miss the Apprentice finale but to miss Survivor!!!

CBS on demand. Love it! I watch all the shows whenever I want...

Okay - I need to finish reading the newsletter and resorting my netflix queue. I also need to go drink gallons of water to get over the caffeine high from this Starbucks Frappachino. I'd never had the coffee one. Oh that was yummy! Funny thing is I don't drink hot coffee. Just iced coffee and coffee ice cream. My new lingo is "Light, with splenda" I hate when the sugar is at the bottom of the cup undissolved.

All i can say on survivor is thank gosh for CBS on demand and I can watch it here in Canada, unlike ABC web shows. And that Jetblue does not have CBS so I can watch when I get home.

I am a cold coffee gal too! The Main Street Bakery has a iced cappuccino that is great. And I hear the Cove Cafe has iced coffee too, might get the mug this cruise.

I am not reading anything right now but usually every summer I get around to re-reading Gone with the Wind and I have not read it yet. I probably should pick it up again. :)

I am reading a book called "The Alienist" that was popular a few years ago - historical detective fiction - and very gory. Also Reading "Ceaser's Way" by Ceaser Milan, the "Dog Whisperer". Also listening to "Anansi's Boys" on tape by Neil Gaiman - his books are very odd, but I get hooked by the stories and the writing.

Any of you with dogs would love "Living with Marley" if you haven't already read it, and I have about 3 or four other books on the shelf waiting for me!

Does anyone else listen to books or podcasts? My two favorite podcasts are:
"This Week in Tech",

and get this . . .

"Cranky Geeks"!

Have to tell you all I might be in serious trouble here with the diet thing. We just got our first Starbucks today! Previously I have only been purchasing in airports, but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the blackberry green tea frappachino. Oh my! Maybe I will have offer myself an extra spa treatment if I can stay away from that stuff. Man, do they put drugs in those things?

Actually you do know I have "brain mush" from giving you the two kids in my signature. It really never even occurred to me. See ladies here is another reason why we should keep our significant others from this thread! :lmao:
