I don't know if this qualifies for a "MickeyPlan", but I have been hatching this idea for the last week . . .

I know this is not a very competitive group . . . (politically correct statement so as not to offend those who are so competitive that they probably cannot stand competition)

I also get the feeling that everyone here is quite happy with their weight, and not a one of us would want to shed a few pounds before the cruise . . . :rotfl:

But I'm going to try this anyway . . . :confused3

How about a competition to get us all healthier, and lighter before the cruise? I came up with an idea for a spreadsheet on Excel, that I have almost finished. It has all the days on it from this Saturday until one week before the cruise. We would do a group "weigh in" this Saturday, which you would input into the spreadsheet. NO ONE WILL EVER TELL US HOW MUCH THEY WEIGH! You will keep the spreadsheet to yourself.

The idea here is to lose the highest PERCENTAGE of your current weight. Based on your daily (or whatever other period you want to use) weigh in, the spreadsheet will tell you how many total pounds you have lost, but will also compute the percentage you have lost of your original weight to four decimal places. I thought this was more fair since some of us can lose the mass of a small child with very little trouble!

I have also created a column (since we should be healthy too) to list your amount of time you spend on exercise each day in 1/2 hour increments. :cool1: The spreadsheet will also total your TOTAL exercise time through 12/2/06. For everyone who wants to play, I will ask you to email me your percentage of loss EVERY Saturday until the cruise. Once I get everyone's results, I will post the weekly standings here. Both percentage of loss, and exercise time. EVERYONE is on the honor system. Final results are to be sent to me on 12/2/06.

Winners will be announced at the Port on 12/9/06 party: - and I am open to suggestions for prizes for the winners!

They already have graphical demos of what the plans were might have been, lol(read distressed). Not that the situation is funny, but the media has obviously been working on the presentation long before todays events. I really think that those groups who do not have the brains to work out these plans for themselves, learn how to do horrible acts and get around precautions from watching the media.

Time spent exercising compared to time spent on the DIS boards :lmao:

I would've been all for this months ago, I started dieting last september when we booked our cruise and have lost 85 pounds so far and only have 10 more to lose to be at my goal weight. I don't suppose I'll win but I can join in for those last 10 pounds, I suppose. :cheer2:
