We're back too . . .
Chili's for dinner - Amy had ribs and I had Steak and chicken . . .
The dirt on my MIL . . .
She is a very nice, kind, woman, but . . .
She does drive me nuts sometimes. She is very paranoid, once had me disconnect an "illegal" cable run in her house to the bedroom because she was afraid the cable patrol would get her for too many sets back in the days when they charged by the set . . . My mom is Greek - and speaks very little English, but understands everything. One time when Amy and I were delayed at an airport, we asked her to call my folks and tell them we were running late, she called, my mom answered, and when she thought my mom was no understanding her, she kept talking LOUDER and LOUDER - DO YOU UNDERSTAND? My mom told me, does the woman not know I understand her - I'm not deaf! (why do people always think others will understand English if only they speak louder?).
The toughest thing has been that Amy's mom was divorced when we met, and her only siblings were, and are two sisters who are still single. I am the ONLY man around when that family is together (fun, fun, fun) and, I am the only man around to fix, lift, and generally take care of EVERYTHING! (more fun, fun, fun)
Amy and I met because her friend knew one of my buddies when I was in college playing on a recreational (well really keeping more score than playing) fumbleball (like softball) summer team. My best buddy at that time wanted to ask her out, and we went to a watering hole after every game. He sat beside her, and was trying to ask her out. I was sitting across from her, and she started to play footsie and handsie (holding hands) with me!

We started going out soon after that, dated for about three years, and my buddy ended up being my best man. I told Amy, she got me at my peak, when I could have had my choice of any fair maiden, and I've been paying for that statement ever since!
