OMG!!!! That is rediculous. Are you using a TA for the cruise? Even if you aren't, ask DU. I don't see why they wont do that for you? They will get more money from you for pete's sake! :confused3

Yeah, we are using a TA for the cruise but she is horrible so I really wanted to book the WDW package on my own so I wouldn't have to deal with her anymore. This whole thing is proving to be VERY frustrating. :sad2:

I just called WDW reservations & the girl I talked to was much nicer! She was shocked that someone hung up on you & wouldn't take your resie. Call 800-828-0228. Enter that you have less than 8 people in your party, have been to WDW more than 4 times....I think that they were all 1s. This group of people seems to know what they are doing.

She said that if you check in by 6 am your resie will NOT be cancelled!!! You need to tell them that you want to book a late arrival resie. She said that you can add it onto a package or a seperate room resie. GOOD LUCK!!!

I know WDW is really picky about how your make reservations. What you could do is add the day on to your reservation. The afternoon you fly out call the hotel directly -not central reservations and ask to speak to a manager. Inform them that you are having "flight issues" and that you now will not be able to arrive until early the next morning. Get the managers name and have them confirm that your room will be ready when you arrive.

I would not book a separate reservation because then you will have to check in and checkout twice. You also are not guaranteed the same room and that would defeat your purpose. I would add the day on to the package.

No, don't book a room for just that night. She meant that you could do this if you had booked a package with tickets or if you had booked just the room. ;)

Thanks Lisa. I called the number and the lady I talked to was definately a lot nicer. She said that I will definately not lose the room and that she's never heard of anything like that before. As long as I purchased the vacation package and have paid in full before my arrival the room will be waiting for me. So we are now booked and that's one less thing I have to worry about. :dance3:

Oh, but she said something about how there was no where for her to note it as a late arrival ressie. :confused3 Why can't these CMs all just say the same thing?

WOW, John, you are so insightful! You should really write like this more often... seriously you've said in one post what so many others live throught but never say.

Thank goodness!!! The girl I talked to couldn't believe it either & really wanted the name of the person so they could be retrained. ;) What a relief!!!

John, I never would have imagined meeting a family online who we would all get along with so well...especially since DH isn't one to be very outgoing. :) How ironic that you have been vacationing in our area since before we even lived here!

There is an area or two you could snorkel ....though keep in mind that this is the east side of the island , we are facing the Atlantic , so the water is rougher on the east side ...but a friend of mine pointed out a couple of areas that he takes his son to to realx and enjoy without being crushed by waves ...

Yes Brandi - ya just gotta stay up with these guys!!!

Fortunately, I realized that now that the boys started football practice, I have 3 hours to myself....pretty smart to talk my DH into coaching, huh?!! ;) It was all a diversion for my cult friends.

Very smart Becka. I'll have to remember that one.

I'll definately call the day we fly out and let them know we won't arrive until early in the morning the next day and make sure they hold our room. Better safe than sorry.

on a not so serious note - can you imagine how many posts you would have gotten had you spread that post out?

Good point! What was I thinking??? I could have gotten us to 10,000!

BTW - happened to me and to PJ? Those other banana's I tried to post, no one could see my dancing banana with the Santa hat, or my dancing banana with Mickey ears but me :confused3

Not even Amy could see my dancing banana . . . (on the other laptop).

I showed Amy that indeed those dancing bananas were on my Lap Top.

What's up with that Becka??? Do you have some magic with dancing bananas you need to tell us about?

What did I do wrong? Or is this some plot to withhold dancing bananas from the public? (and they were NOT any of the nasty ones!)

Hey All You Moms (and dads!)....

Would you buy one of those little buttons (like the kind that politicians pass out) to support your school? And for how much? Like $1?

Yes...I'm researching button machines and I might get one that can do a combo Dis cruise AND school events. You guys are just coming up with the most creative titles and I would love to make up some buttons to pass out.

So - seriously - anyone have thoughts or know anything about these machines?

And Lisa - do ya got any shopping codes for this? :rotfl: Just kidding!

Bought butttons, made buttons, and bought just about everything you can imagine to support schools. If you get a machine, just make sure it is a good quality one. Sophia got a kid's one for X-mas, and it was a real PITB to work.

John

That's exactly what i was wondering. The prices certainly vary in the brands. Do you know what the brand was? Does a cheaper brand mean the buttons might fall apart?

Becka was right though - every dirty thought any of you may have been thinking, they've got those bananas doing. Definitely NOT Disney G-rated!

John

Karen,

Page 644, and, I can still see my banana, but I could not see it at work either. In it's place was some kind of ad for dancing bananas or something.
