Ya We should leave it with one to go for the morning person, has anyone done that yet?

Good morning whoever gets this, I am going to bed and congrats

forgot to add it is 12:36 AM here.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I stayed up way too late last night so I am pretty tired right now. :faint: Unfortunately work still calls. I hope those of you who were away from the weekend are not too mad at how many pages we left for you. Maybe you guys can catch up in a few days! :lmao:

pyramind and mum - I can't believe you left 9100 when you were so close. That is not very pirate: -y of you! :rotfl:

Becka,
I'm off to work soon too. We're crazy.
But at least I only have to work a few hours (part time only).

Now, Kevin.....did you just post & run or did you actually catch up on your reading? :)

I played the drums in school untill my teacher told me I needed to learn to play something different becouse I was a girl. I told him to bite me, he sent me to the office and I never went back.

GOOD FOR YOU! In our A/OK Division (Arkansas & Oklahoma) the Youth Band has four percussionist and three are girls. This is the "A" band and the are all very good. The "B" and "C" bands also have girls in the percussion section. The summer music conservatory is very heavy in percussion.

I gave up formal percussion lesson because my private teacher called me spastic. From then own I was self taught.

I certainly hope that it's as entertaining for those reviewing as it was for those of us posting live!

I almost tried to talk DD into the drums for the simple fact that they only have to carry around the sticks (and sticks are cheap compared to other instruments  ). But how true that they beat on anything and everything.

Yes the sticks are cheap but wait until you have to buy the "whole set" with the exotic (read expensive) cymbals. Then visualize moving that set everywhere they play!

Still .... let them do it! It is great. The annoying neighbors won't stay over as long anymore..... but then no one will!

and 3:12AM for Caroline. I can't believe you guys did that. I was up at 5AM but didn't get on the computer. If I'd only known .....

Goodness...you would never know that anyone was going on this cruise during the day. I guess that I wont get too behind if I go out & do some errands before it gets too hot. :)

Perfect! Perfect, as usual. I don't think it is possible to eat in total silence. I mean what if you need salt or something. And doesn't that eliminate the whole eat together as a family thing. Why do they eat together at all? We asked for a big table because sometimes we are super chatty and sometimes just a little, but we won't talk about work the whole time and bore our DD. Working together sometimes has it's disadvantages. And oh my, I just know we would get those people who do not like children. Really, I have a hard time with that. Were they never children? Do they not expect children on a Disney Cruise? I just got e-mail from my cousin who is getting married on DD birthday in December. She said "we are discouraging children". My response to my mother, because I was so mad at my cousin, was we are discouraged from coming. It's her birthday, my entire family will be there so I have no babysitter, and it's new years eve. Am I being to sensitive?

Kim

OK this is really mean. But, I would stay home from the wedding and tell the bride that I couldn't get a sitter and knew she was "discouraging kids". Be sure to tell her this in the nicest possible way and also tell her you are only thnking of her wedding. Be sure to tell your mother way in advance, also in the nicest possible way that you are skipping the wedding for said reasons. :stir:

This only works if you really don't want to go to the wedding.

Honestly, I wouldn't take a child to a wedding (or funeral) unless it was absoutely necessary or they were a close relative to the participant. It's just rude for the bride to tell you who is or is not invited.

Come to think of it Kim you are too nice to do that to someone. Just forget I said anything.

I can understand not wanting young children at the wedding with the cost of videoing it & not wanting to pay to listen to a baby screaming...of course that isn't really the baby's fault, it is the fault of the parent who doesn't have enough sense to take their child out of the Church when they do that. Either way, Kim's DD is almost 7 yo...old enough IMO to be relied on to behave during a wedding ceremony.

Kim, you could always plan her party that afternoon...since it is her birthday...of course only if the people she would want to attend would be there. That does make planning a party a PIB for you. :( The week before is Christmas and the entire weekend of her birthday is taken up with wedding stuff...rehersal Friday, ceremony Saturday, and whatever usually ends up happening on Sunday. (((HUGS))) to your DD. HEY!!! Do you want her to have a Bday party on the ship? :)

When I select the medium or small then go to select color it only gives me the option of navy, orange or white.
Remember we have a few redheads who refuse to wear green and are going with navy or white. The kids may be fine in that.
