IDK what the cruise line industry thinks but, did you know that bananas are considered VERY BAD LUCK on a boat?

My FIL tried to take bananas as a snack on a charter fishing boat once and they were thrown overboard. All the guys at the dock were laughing that someone actually tried to bring a banana on board.

On that whole girl drummer thing.
We had girls in our precussions in HS but they were only allowed to hold the cymbals. Come to think of it I'm not sure they really played anything. Just eye candy for the drummers.

Then again, our band was so small that anyone could be in it if they just showed up for practice.

I played Clarinet, upper register only. (For you non musical people that means I really only carried the clarinet and wiggled my fingers.

No! This was my first time packing in my stuff. We hiked five miles in with a 60 pound pack. OOOOOOO was I tired!!

DD's school is offering Band and Orchestra next year and this is her only real chance to be a beginner in public school.

I'm trying to convince her to try it and she can back out later if she hates it. But, If she changes her mind later and wants to start, it will be too late.

I won't be able to afford private lessons to catch her up because I will probably be saving for another Disney Cruise.
