Quiet Cove is the ticket. Most of the people there are either too old to move, or too working on their tan to leave their lounger. (Lisa, remember the foreign lady with the Thong on - the tan reference made me think of that :rolleyes1).

Hey guys, jumping into the evening of messaging after getting caught up on the past million pages...

Although not a professional hair stylist, I do have skills in frenchbraiding, if anyone's DD would like it done during the cruise. These skills were fine-tuned during years of field hockey and track when I did my teammates' hair on the bus to away games... and this was in the 1980s, when I had to work in all those farrah-layers into the braids. (no barrettes & clips allowed in high school sports, so you had to contain all that hair with elastic bands only--french braids were the way to go.)

My DDs would LOVE this! Maybe you could give me a crash course! 3 Dds and I am horrible at hair. After 9 years of dance classes, I finally can do a decent bun.

Marielle - I have a full year maternaty leave. It started in Jan 2006 and I will return in Jan 2007. It will be hard to go back in the middle of the year but it is worth it to be with DD and DS the extra months. I do play the piano. I received formal lessons from 1st grade until 12th grade. I did some piano in college but I was a flute major. I give private flute and piano lessons. At one point I was teaching full time, directing the church choir and giving 25 lessons a week!!!! I didn't have a life...all I did was work. I now do church choir and give 5 lessons a week. I kept the 5 that always practiced and really love music.

I hope your DD always loves to play. The practicing will go in waves. Sometimes she will need to be "forced" to practice for a few weeks or months then she will snap out of it and love it again. At least that is how it is with most kids (I was that way too.)

DD Sarah has been taking piano for a year now and plays the flute in band. This year the band directer had her play the keyboard for one song in the Christmas concert and the bells for one song in the spring concert. I jus wish she would practice more. She drives her piano teacher nuts because she has a hard time telling if she practiced or not, but Sarah is very honest in telling her. Amanda (7) just started piano lessons this summer and loves it! She can't start an insrtument in school for a couple of more years though. I also played the flute and so want to join the community band. But time is too much of a factor. Maybe this fall.

I played the drums in school untill my teacher told me I needed to learn to play something different becouse I was a girl. I told him to bite me, he sent me to the office and I never went back.

I don't know why the banana has such a bad reputation. He is a perfectly innocent little guy just having a good time dancing. If he was a dancing apple no one would think twice. It must be hard to be a banana....

You are so sweet to be thinking of the banana. :goodvibes :lmao: :lmao:

But my bananas don't dance. It just sits there most of the time.

But it would be 9100, not 10,000. That would take like 20 hours!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

How rude!! Unbelievable! I remember filling in on the base drum in marching band one time. I was stuck with the biggest one and the strap was broken so they practically tied me to the thing!! :lmao:
