OK the real geek is in the room. In the interest of knowing exactly where we stand in the competition to be the #1 cruise meets thread I would like to present the following stats for you based on data I collected just minutes ago.

There is only one cruise meet group that is ahead of us (Oct '06 DVC cruise) who has yet to actually take their cruise. In other words the other threads are kind of cheating because they are working on their 2+ cruise on the same thread.

We have a higher percentage of posting participation. If you just look at the number of views compared to the number of posts we are #1.

I'm here. Just dropped DDs at the library for a lock-in. Older one is one of the youth helpers, while younger one is a participant.

Have to pick them up at 8am!

DS just asked if he could have his bedtime snack...graham crackers. I got them out off the shelf for him and he told me that he didn't need any help anymore because he was big enough. OK. Then he said that he still liked getting hugs & kisses though & hopes that he doesn't get too big for those.

As to the way John and I met. I don't remember quit the way he does. I remember it being at a church setting and I was quietly meditating when John came up and asked me about a certain Bible verse. I knew this would be a man I could help and I have.

It sounds like you need to be PIF on any package deals to get the current price or your package price is going to increase if you have a reservation at the resorts!

I'm up car shopping now - some good deals on last year's models. Our lease is up in a couple of months.

What kind of car are you looking to get, John? Next saturday we're going out to buy me a Toyota Camry. I was looking at the 2006's and 2007's and the 2007 is only about $150. more than the 2006 and a few added standard features that are worth a lot more than $150. I'm kind of surprised there aren't any better deals for their 2006's right now.

Ok, I caught up on the thread posts..will read chat in a bit.

Now for how my DDs came to town...

Sarah was due around Memorial Day. How I was dreading this because it is sooo crowded here then. Instead, she decided to be a wee bit early. I was feeling some back pain one night and couldn't get much sleep. DIDN"T feel like any kind of contraction that I would think. Was in bed most of the next morning into afternoon and DH was a bit peeved thinking I was being lazy or something. We were living above the restaurant at the time. My sister told me all kinds of things to do, then finally told me to call the doctor. Of course it was a Sunday! My doctor was away and the on call doctor hesitantly told me to come in (He later commented that he usually wouldn't tell someone to come in from what I was saying, but something was telling him to). Went to the hospital at around 4pm. Did some tests and nurse said I had a UTI (back pain?who's of thunk?). She checked me and left the room. Came back and told me I was 4 cm dialated?? Huh?? DH was across the street having dinner (it was during Ramadan so he had been fasting all day). Nurse told me I would be giving birth. She dialed up my mom, I burst into tears before I said a word to her so the nurse explained. Got hooked up to monitors which showed the contractions. Everyone came up. Gave me whatever it is to slow the contractions so they could transfer me. Didn't work. Called the NICU team from up the road so they could come get the baby when born. Doctor looked scared to death. Watch some of the Olympics while the Dr stared at me asking if I felt any sharp pains. Huh? What does he mean?? Ummmm.... YES!! I FEEL SHARP PAINS!! Room FILLS with Drs, nurses, my mom and sister (DH will NOT come into room during birth!) Now 10:17pm. Two pushes, baby out, rushed away, what is it? Dr can't be sure. Room is once again pretty empty. Sister goes out and finds out is a girl. NICU Dr comes in awhile later and starts some spiel of how she has a 50/50 chance, blah, blah, blah. Just take her where she needs to go already! Around midnight they wheel in the incubator and I see her for a moment before they take her up the road. I am released by noon the next day so I can go see her. Is in Atlantic City at a level 1 NICU. First impression, she is bigger than I thought. Just under 2 lbs (933 grams), 14 and 3/8 inches. She is in an open bed, thought this was good. Found out it is so they can get to her more easily. Spends 10 weeks there. Took until the day of my best friends wedding til I could hold her, March 12th, so I missed the ceremony. Lots of ups and downs until we brought her home May 3rd. Didn't think she was so small until that day when she was eaten by the carseat!!

Oh yeah!! No drugs for me....

DD 2 a bit easier.

Due October 7th. Right around 27 weeks, time Sarah was born, found I was 2 cm dialated. BED REST! UUGGHH. With a 3 and a half year old and a DH who works 70+ hours a week! Not too bad. Sarah was an easy child!! Had an appointment on due date and midwife tells me to take caster oil (didn't stay down) or "other" way to make get going (worked).

I have very light contractions so around 9pm I call the Dr with what I think are contractions and they tell me to come in. DH still doesn't do delivery (better for me NOT to have someone there who doesn't want to be there. KWIM?) Best friend and SIL come to be there. Get to hospital around 10:15pm. Around 4 cm, break my water close to 11 and tell me to walk around. Walk around for all of 10 min. and want to go to room NOW!! Nurse says I can't have anything (drug) til the midwife gets there. Wait around 15 minutes, I beg, she checks me...Oh your 8cm...no 9...ready to push?
I want drugs though!!! Gives me some Morphine, but Amanda is ready to come out. Is born just after Midnight. Morphine kicks in later. 7 lbs 20 in.

DD3 - Dina

Due January 23 - I decide to take it as easy as I can from the start. Do NOT want bed rest!! Have a 3 year old again! Didn't start to dialate until about 30 weeks, and only a tiny bit. Bed rest, but not STRICT bedrest. She also goes to her due date. Dr appt that day. They send me upstairs to be checked in as the monitor shows contractions about 2 pm. Nurses don't know why I am there, contractions too weak. Don't care I am 4 cm. Kids are with me. DH comes and gets the kids and other best friend comes this time. Nurses still discussing why I am there. Talk about breaking my water. Are you? so I can call my 17 yr old niece who is coming to witness so she doesn't have any herself?!?!

Break water. Don't give me drugs. Have to wait for doctor. Don't understand that baby comes FAST if you break my water. No, only 5 cm. Does give me Morphine. Call nurse about 15 minuted later with pain. She reluctantly checks me....then proceed to RUN out the door for the doctor as babies head is RIGHT there!! He barely makes it in and gets on gown and she is out!

Drugs don't kick in til everyone is there to see Dina and I have to stay awake!! Wears off as everyone is leaving...ugh!!

So, I actually love being pregnant as I actually LOSE weight until I am about 30 weeks and then only get a few lbs over prepregnancy weight (get yelled aat through the whole pregnancy). So many people had no idea I was ever pregnant for all 3! I look great after birth. Problem is, I gain the weight about 3 months AFTER they are born.

Funny story with Sarah: Our best friends at the time had gone away to Disney World. When they came back they did not believe us when we told them she was born. After all, we did not have a baby at home to show them at the time!!!
