Oh, Angie, how sad. and prayers for all.

I'm sure that your presence has been a blessing to everyone.

Angie & Dennis,
Many hugs to you and your family. What a terrible tragedy. You are great people to lean on in times of need, so I am sure that your DSIL appreciates having you near.

Oh, Angie. Sudden death is the worst for family members, there is no time to prepare. I know that you and Dennis will be a great source of comfort to your family and each other.

Ummmm... Brack??? I saw State in the hot sauce collection, and I saw one of the relatives with a dook T-sh**t. :confused3

They did not have a UNC one (all sold I'm sure :thumbsup2) and the relative is Annette's. I can't help the in-laws. :confused3

Angie and Dennis my heart goes out to you. We will be praying for your family.

I am so sorry to hear about your family Angie. That must be so difficult. I can't even imagine.

Well tonight was DS's Back to School/Meet the Teacher night. They did manage to get someone hired for DS's class since Tuesday night and they are going to turn the Art room into the classroom for DS's K class. They think Art is going to move out to one of the trailers.

My first impression was not overly great. She didn't see quite as friendly as I would have expected. Of course the room was not really decorated and ready but she still has a few days. She really didn't know the answers to any of the questions about how the classroom is going to run...just as I expected. She apparently has been teaching pre-K for a few years. I guess we will just take a wait and see approach. I don't have much choice. Hopefully it will be a very good year for Nathan.

I was able to apply the new code to my dear friend's october trip and saved them $490 for a 7 night package with tickets and dinning. I have made them so happy!

I knew that there had to be a logical explanation.

Annette's whole family worked at DOOK at sometime. Her granddad and mother retired from there. Yes and I even worked at the hospital for awhile when I was going to UNC.

Oh, some of the biggest UNC fans I know have worked at dook at some point... I think it simply transfers those dook dollars to the good side!

Anyone ever bought a piano??

Hannah's been in lessons for almost 2 years, and only has an electronic keyboard (not even full size) to practice. She really needs a real piano since she is sticking with it (well, every kid has their bad days when it comes to practicing!) But it's not an easy purchase (especially if you have to research the life out of everything like I do!)

Angie and Dennis....

I am not quite sure what to say, please know we are thinking of you all!

Check out a Salvation Army Thrift Store. We used to get them in a lot and most were in very good condition .... not to mention at a good price. They are good for a start.

Thanks for the idea! I've checked craigslist, but didn't like the idea of checking out pianos at random peoples' houses. But there are two SA stores within about 15 minutes of us; lots more in the Philly area.

Thank you all for the thoughts and especially the prayers. :goodvibes The kids neighbor had told them yesterday that they would like to make dinner for them tonight. DD called Dennis today and said they were not sure if they will be staying here again tonight or if they will be at home. They have very good friends that went in and cleaned up the bathroom (wife of the couple is a state trouper and she said she is used to cleaning up such stuff) and then they cleaned the entire house and left some beautiful flowers on the table. Hopefully it will be peaceful enough that they will feel llke they can stay. We will see. DD will be bringing some stuff for Dennis to print up for the memorial service later this evening so we will see how they are doing. Again, thank you so much for the prayers and for letting me "talk".

Becka, I'm glad they have found a permanent teacher for the class. That is half the battle.

Marielle, we have an beauiful antique English pub piano made in the mid 1860s that we need to get rid of, but unfortunately it won't stay in tune so that would not help her.
