A bunch of us are meeting for dinner at Boma at 4:30 on Friday. I think I posted it here quite a while ago. Lisa and Family, Carla and Family, PJ, Angie and Dennis, Vanessa and family, and us. I can't remember how many I made the reservation for . . . I show that I sent you an email about it too, back in June. I am going to go and look for what I posted . . . .

Is anyone else going to be at WDW the first week of December?

We are arranging a DIS Geek Meet on 12/7/07 (Friday night) for dinner at Boma. So far, we have us; Lisa and Family; Angie and Dennis; Vanessa John and family;Carla, and family; maybe PJ; and waiting to hear from Brack and Annette.

Anyone else????

OK . . . Here's the deal . . .

I called today, which is 180 days to December 7th. The BEST option for our group - 19 total (I included Brack and Annette even though I have not heard from them, and PJ, even though she is not yet certain she is coming) is at 4:30 when Boma Opens. At that time, we are guaranteed a table for 12, and a table for 7. Also, because it is right when they open, if one or more of us show up a bit early, we have a great shot at the tables being side by side.

The reservation number is 45485779, and is under my name.

If anyone thinks this is too early in the day, or simply will not work, please post, PM, or email me. We can get reservations later, but will be split up into many more tables, with no guarantee that they are in the same locale.

OMG!!!! That is just beautiful. I think that we are going to have to fit in a day at MK just to see the castle after dark!!! What a picture that will make.

Lisa how long are you all at WDW? Annette and I get in early on the 6th.

We will be arriving on the 2nd. We are staying at ASM Sunday through Tuesday night and I forget where we will be the rest of the week. JOhn?

Can't wait to experience the craziness with all of you again in a couple weeks!!! We will be spending Thursday at Epcot...first time there and Friday at AK...also first time. If anyone would like to meet up with us...get with John since he knows the place. We are going to have to get a group shot of us at the Second Annual Boma Geek Feast.

Lisa, I have plans for AK on Friday as well. Thursday I am thinking to just hit DTD and PI as I didn't get there even once on my October trip with friends.

Well my drinking plan didn't work out the way I had hoped. Unfortunately before I could have a glass I got Allie's stomach flu. I just managed to crawl our of bed a little while ago and I feel terrible. I really have to hope now that DH does not come down with it since we are scheduled to leave tomorrow afternoon.

I just managed to crawl out of bed again. I think I am finally on the mend and I was able to keep down some toast and water. Unfortunately now I am just so drained. I feel like I ran a marathon or something. I hope DH is feeling energetic tonight because he is going to have to finish a lot of the packing.

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends (well, PJ, I guess you already had Canadian Thanksgiving). We're hitting the road this afternoon to gather with my side of the family (the ones that were on the cruise!!) in Williamsburg, Va.

The head count for our house this year is 43. I will roast the first 20 lb turkey today, make the pies, yams and mashed potatoes. Also gotta clean up. We have been doing major projects this month....painting, laying tile (600 square feet of that!), putting in new fixtures in one of the baths, shampooing what carpet we have left. Now, we have cleanup to do from that. Putting away all the tools and supplies. Looks nice though!

Well I just found out that I am probably going to have to cancel our December '08 cruise. It has always been difficult to find a good time to take off work this time of year due to the systems I work on but it sounds like my boss will not let me take off this time of year again. That means Aaron can't take off Sept - mid November, I can't take off Nov - Feb and Aaron can't take off Feb - early June. That leaves us with mid-June to mid-August (before school starts). We can't afford to cruise during the summer so I guess that means we will have to just cancel the whole thing.

Can't one of you go to your boss and explain the circumstances and ask if there is not ONE week where you could get away?

I know I am very open to those kinds of requests and trying to work things out where possible. I always say to myself that one week will not cause the ruin of the company or the department.
