I love the fact that your DD wants to become a mermaid! That is so darn cute!

I have to tell you this story.. We were watching wishes at WDW and they were talking about how your dreams can come true and DD asks DH if that is really true. DH says if you work really hard and really want it, your dreams can come true. DD says "Then how come I am not a mermaid". It was precious!

No - only 3...me and my kids. Can't explain the DIS concept to DH or the other folks going with us...

Kim - We still don't have ours. And the sad part is that the other families I convinced to go with us all got theirs. They are beginning to wonder if I really am booked on the cruise.

We did get our t-shirts.....they are really neat.

I am glad to know I am not the only one.... Isn't it odd how they have come so sporadically to different families. You'd think they would do one big mailing over a weeks time....

Good morning all,
Another one with a BA in journalism--and I used to be a copy editor for morning newspapers and work finishing the paper until 1 or 2 am. My body would still like that kind of schedule--but the rest of the world is not so fond of it. It also doesn't mix well with being a mom--so now I just work a few hours a week as a production editor with a graphic design/communications business.

Picked up DD13 and her pals from field hockey camp yesterday. Try to imagine the smell in the van: three days of smelly laundry and girls who had been playing games all morning (and had to immediately check out of the dorm, so no showers). It was ONLY an hour's drive in the van...

One of the girls is staying with us until she flies back to Charlotte on Saturday, so the plan is to hit the King of Prussia mall today. Maybe some deals at the Disney Store for me!

Ok, all the Journalism Majors need to start a thread. There are a ton! DH has a BA in Journalism too!

Dirty jobs another great show!

Amy just leaves Sophia and I in the living room with our shows and goes to the other room to watch the news. I deal with enough tension during the day - it's not my idea of "entertainment" to watch the news at night - as Amy said, not exactly bedtime stuff.

I was just thinking - I know Mr. Mork gets online too, but not that often. Are Amy and I the only regular "couple" that are both posting here? I think the rest of you should give your spouses a turn and we could see what happens

I came home for lunch and to let the dog out - now I'll probably make myself late back trying to catch up with you guys again!

I can't do that. He might actually enjoy being here and then I would have to fight him for DIS time. Plus then I could not complain about him quite as easily.

My DH is adorable and wonderful although he is NOT computer literate!!! I think he may have sat at the computer a total of 3 times over the past 6 years!

I asked him if he wants to wear a lime green shirt. He said he would do whatever I want him to do! We will all be wearing our shirts!

I am impressed! Do you have a training program I can follow for DH? I have made siginificant progress over the years but my DH is just being a little stubborn in some areas and just insists on occassion that he have his own opinion. What is a wife to do?

Becka - I got lucky, my DH sister and mom got him into shape! I just had to fine tune a few little things!

I told my son that his future wife will thank me one day for giving him a sister! I think every boy should have a sister bugging them every day! They are more prepared for their wife!

My sister in law always says that I did a good job with my brother.

Keep working no him Becka...he may yield to your wishes one day!!!

Sorry - I'm in the No Spouse Allowed club....DH isn't very chatty anyway, but we do only have one computer and afte he's done with his sports sites...then I can use it. If he was on DIS too....I'd NEVER get to chat with you guys.

I figure it is only fair that he gets me my drinks because he is the reason I need the drinks in the first place. I didn't get these two kids all by myself!

When the men on this thread check in again they won't be happy with all the DH-bashing. It is almost as bad as the Spanx conversations!

My DH stays too busy mowing the lawn, doing the laundry, and washing the dishes to spend time on Dis Boards. He does visit the Hannity Discussion Board but that's only because I won't talk politics with him.

With us the secret is give and give (from both of us), not give and take.

I usually don't drink, but everytime I turned around on the ship DH was handing me another one. I think he was trying to get me drunk.
