My husband and I don't really drink at home but on the cruise we always have a bottle of Asti! Reading Jordan's Beer or Wine thought had me thinking about Kaluah or Amaretto!

I'm going to apply for a different position at work. Way less stressful, but some drawbacks too. The biggest is having to work 5 8 hr days. I work 4 10s now and LOVE my Fridays off, but things have gone from bad to bad to worse as far as the stress level in my current position. So.... Need some Pixie Dust!

I can relate to what you're saying....while I don't have it too bad, I'm not happy and another job is opening up...but sometimes the unknown could be worse than the known.

For you - I do hope things get better.

I have to share with everyone...usually I'm a complete wreck by now...but I have 12 people coming to stay at my house this weekend....and a party for about 40 to throw for my DS's First Communion. I should be so stressed...but I haven't even started cleaning, cooking or grocery shopping yet. It is Wednesday, right?!!! What's wrong with me???? We had a baseball game last night, Communion practice tonight, baseball game on Thursday, and Communion Practice on Friday. Can someone tell me when I'm gonna get stuff done?!! Perhaps I'm delirious.

Oh - one more tidbit - after each baseball game our coach gives one boy the "game ball". Last night my oldest got the ball! Way to go Eric! I'm so proud of him!!

I can relate to what you're saying....while I don't have it too bad, I'm not happy and another job is opening up...but sometimes the unknown could be worse than the known.

For you - I do hope things get better.

I am currently the "complaint department" for 45,000 veterans who get their medical care in a completely disfunctional medical center. The position I applied for this morning is coordinator for the Voluntary Service...working with vets (many WWII and Korea - Love 'em) who are here volunteering because they WANT to be here. I really look forward to the change of pace - if I'm selected of course. There will be lots of competition for this job I am sure.

Karen, the way to handle the "mob" at your house (from one who has just about that same amount every Thanksgiving for a sit down dinner at my house) is to make a list for food (make sure you have enough - a full crowd is a happy crowd), don't worry too much about the cleaning as it will be a total mess when they leave (knock down the cobwebs!), and relax and enjoy the day yourself! If the hostess is having a great time the guest will too.

If I had 40 people coming over to my house all I'd worry about is the bathrooms. Nobody would be able to see anything else here for the bodies in the house. Try to relax and enjoy this BIG DAY!

Good luck with the new job! No wonder you need 14 days at sea to get away from your job. I've never worked in a complaint department at your level but I have done "Customer Service" at the cable company. It burned me for life.

General survey,
How many of you are into pin collecting? Mild? Medium? Fanatic?

Dennis is a "mild collector". Meaning he buys (has a BIG bag for those too!) but does not do alot of trading. He buys ones he likes and then can't part with them. He has done some trading with CMs using some of the duplicate "freebies" we get from DVC, etc.

Lisa, Dennis said he will get the Mini Meet photos from GA with Patsy to you today. However......neither he nor Brack (they are the two guys with the BIG bags if you remember ) took photos of our CA mini meet. Brack, we are going back to DL May 30 so I think you and Annette need to join us so we can get a photo.

I need another day or two at DL! Lately it has been like the saying of being up to your neck in alligators and you're supposed to be draining the swamp. Annette and I have been on the road constantly for a couple of weeks.

I am at our camp grounds again until Sunday afternoon. May 30 (and a few more days) I am in Atlanta. The only good thing is I may be able slip away for a couple of days to WDW then 'cause it is only a 6.5 hour drive. We'll see.

Maybe the whole lot of them will have to postpone to 2007. Golly, then we would have to take yet another cruise! Dennis, myself and DGS Aaron (age 7) are still planning on this one regardless of what the others have to do.

Any excuse to cruise is a good excuse. Annette and I are looking very closely at the repo cruise in 2007 from Barcelona to the USA.

As for me and my house we are going on this cruise no matter what .....

Patsy - We do some pin trading. We trade for ones we like. We are not like wild people looking for cast pins or anything. We usually have a lanyard full for each trip. It is fun!
