I had the worst day today. I was so mad I almost cried at work. Which I NEVER DO. I could not calm down, so I took my ipod and ran in my work clothes in 30 degrees around the university research park. 1/2 hour later I came back all hot and breathing hard right into scheduling with the entire staff staring at me like I was insane.

I wanted to walk out the door and leave the entire mess to someone else. Problem is, don't know who that would be.

It was not Steve or Savannah, so I did not want to beat up on them. So after scheduling, I ran again.

Did I tell you I ran this morning before work too?

My legs are killing me from running on pavement in work shoes. That was the stupid part.

Hoping for the sun tommorow.

Kim

:grouphug: Wear sneakers tomorrow...or at least take them with you. ;)

Kim, at least you took the ipod with you, lol. Lisa, great idea for Kim, pack the runners.

The allergy thing just keeps making me madder the more I think about it. There are usually two teachers in there and I know the usual teachers know about his allergies but if both of them were not there for some reason when they served lunch they could have had any of the aides. There is an allergy list displayed in each class and IMHO there is no excuse for an aide not checking that list especially if they are not normally in there. Nathan had his own lunch so it is not like he was eating some of the school lunch at all. He said they didn't give him the oranges because he already had oranges in his lunch bag but that they gave him corn and he didn't say anything to him because he wanted to keep it a secret.

It could be coincidence but this afternoon his behavior was much worse than it had been and he was being far more agressive. Coincidence? Maybe. Caused by him having corn? Possibly....

One of the reasons I don't think he is lying is that he just brought it up on his own and the menu for today had corn listed so I know it was actually served. DS doesn't even realize we have the menus and would have known corn was served today.

Becka, I am so sorry. They can actually be sued for this, so I think they should be very careful...

I have to post this here as well as the repo thread about Kim's day . . .

I can so see her doing this, and I kept thinking of a movie, and could not get it out of my head, then someone posted the answer, and . . .

Run Kim, Run!

Marielle - yes - a Geek final four would be awesome!

Whose house do we meet at to watch the games?

No more running tonight. Although I would like to run from the laundry!

I miss our cruise group. I know that this years Halloween cruise is not going to be the same at all. There are alot of single moms with and with/out kids and they seem to like to party, not my thing.

Then the repo cruise, I think I would feel better if so many people were not trying to overlap on organizing efforts. I am glad that we are doing our own linking for dinners. And I get the feeling that we will link up for those excursions that overlap interests of cruisers from this group.

I learned one very valuable thing last cruise. I do not have to do everything. I can stay on the boat one day if I want to. We can just sit by the pool if we want to. My family is much happier if I do not force them into a schedule every minute of the day... This is tough for me, but I am getting better at it every time. I am simplifying!

As far as I know, the ACC has no restrictions on rushing the field/court. I didn't realize others had rules until the Vandy/UF game this weekend (and Vandy's court has an odd setup, too).

They have the stupidest little ropes at our games, when the crowd is really happy, they just storm the floor anyway. Like those ropes are going to stop anyone.... (like that stupid letter John showed us)

:grouphug: Wear sneakers tomorrow...or at least take them with you. ;)

I was thinking a squirt gun might be fun. One of those that don't look like a gun, like a fish or something.... Then I am just going to douse all the people who make me mad. I think that would be really funny!

I
on a side note - HALEY - she really hasn't really spoken a whole lot - and I attribute that to her parental laziness and the binky issue, but holy cow - WOW - she is so talking up a storm and her little voice is just so heart squishing!!

I get her first at school and she'll say "mantha, mantha 'here are you" (missing a few letters)

Oh my goodness! I want to hear it too!

Yes, I'd like to do excursions with "us".

Becka, I'd be very upset and I would not talk to teachers, I would talk to the director of the facility. That is NOT ok. An allergy can be life threatening for Pete's sake!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So you you loaded & ready to revolt this morning? :lmao:

Wasn't that painful to listen to??? I hope that the girls sound better tomorrow night.

Me too....

In the auditions i really liked a couple of them and then last night. OMG they all sounded as bad as if not like NTWINE auditions....

The be bop guy really surprised me though..... I don't think he'll win but i like him better showing versatility....

No more running tonight. Although I would like to run from the laundry!

You could send me the laundry Kim....It's one of the few things i can do right now....

I can wash/dry and i can hang it up/fold it but DH/DD have to move it back upstairs...

Probably can't lift stuff for another month....

I think I am probably about to get really PO'd at the daycare. It is possible that Nathan is lying but the way he is talking it would surprise me. He said that today during lunch they gave him some CORN to eat!!! :furious: :furious: He says it was not one of his regular teachers so that would make sense although the allergy list is posted in each classroom. I don't know why he would lie about it so tomorrow I have to talk to the teachers/director to find out what happened. AAAAARRRRGGGGG!

Sorry that happened Becka!:grouphug: At least Nathan knows not to eat it?? The girls do not eat pork and Sarah started asking about foods (hot dogs etc) everywhere she went by the age of 4. It is amazing how kids adapt to things!

You guys will think I am a nut (if you don't already) but I love having a daughter because I will get to do things like Club Libby Lu when she gets bigger. That kind of thing excites me as a mommy!!!!

My kids would love to have you as a mommy!:lmao:

Many of our teachers ask for things like baggies, tissues, hand sanitizer...etc. The parents don't have to send it in, but if they don't the kids won't have those things to use all year. It gets expensive for the teacher to always have to buy those things out of pocket. You would be amazed at the amount of tissues kids use in an average day!!!!

Wow! All of this suprises me. The schools don't supply tissues or hand soap??
