DrHug will be working at the WM that is only 15 miles from our house tomorrow. :yay: :dance3: I can go have lunch with him! :woohoo: I love it when he works there on Friday (if he works on Friday) since he actually gets a lunch break and it's close enough that I can go and we can practice our "share a sub at WM" retirement plan. ;)

BTW . . . I think I need someone to enroll me in a 12 step program . . .

I called my DVC Guide today and asked about Animal Kingdom Villas . . .:sad2:

Do you guys know they will have 2 bathrooms in a 1 bedroom (three for a 2 bedroom)? They will also have a concierge room level you can stay at in the Villas? And if I buy 150 points, our names will be immortalized as founding members on a wall tapestry?

Boy, they really know how to suck a DIS Geek in!

John, I think you will stay a kid at heart forever!

Lisa, Angie said on our other thread that I should ask you my question. I evidently need to make friends with a Disney CM so I can find out where I am on the waitlist. Poor Kevin from DU told me he is on a waitlist and they won't even tell him! So, I am hoping that maybe through my non profit connections I can get some help. Seriously, I have dreams about getting an e-mail from Kevin saying I have been upgraded and I am having a hard time sleeping and I keep my blackberry by my bed. Gotta find out! I am panicking about steve. I know he says he will be ok, but it makes me sick to think about the potential here for 15 days! I know he is an adult, I know he knows what he can handle, but you are all married, you know what I am feeling right? So wise empress, do you have any advice?

Kim

:lmao: :lmao: Dennis has been talking about this also! And the hook for him is the name on the tapestry! :lmao: Now he is saying....hmmmm maybe we could not get the RV and just buy more points. :sad2:

We need email addresses and phone numbers from your clipboard, Lisa. :lmao:

Yes, Kim, I know exactly what you mean. Dennis has PTSD from VietNam and I know the situations that I need to run interference for him, whether he knows it or not. ::yes:: ::yes::

I do hope you get it Kim so you can stop worrying! BTW - DCL Main Office is in Celebration FL. I wonder if you got a Dr's slip for Steve if that would bump you up the list?

We are all going cuckoo and it is 15 months away!

Also, if all else fails, the doctor gave Amy a whole bottle of that Percocet that she can bring along. I am sure we might have at least 15 :rolleyes1

For Amy of course!

The street value of that stuff could pay for this cruise!

You know we were both surprised to hear that . . .

Is it really THAT in demand by the druggies?

Shows you how sheltered we have become.

Amy was taking one a day at the end at night to help her sleep with the pain.

She is now off of it, but has some in reserve in case the pain comes back.

Captain Spanx signing off and going to bed.

Disney Dreams everyone!

Angie, does Dr. Hug know you just said that?:rotfl2:

John, I actually thought about that... DH would have to ask his Dr. for one. That would be the tricky part. Think they would just give it to me? Probably, my Dr. used to date my mother.

Sad, but really true. My sweet cousin who died was a drug addict and I had to lock up all of my prescription meds so he would not steal them and sell them. I had oxycontin for a while and it was so scary for us we just flushed it down the toilet..

:lmao: :lmao: I learned it at work. Drug diversion, get it free from the government then sell it. :rolleyes1 All of our docs make the patients on narcotics for chronic pain get urine drug screens, not only to make sure they don't have any illegal drugs on board, but also to make sure they DO have the med prescribed in their system. :sad2: There are, of course, not many of those that we care for, but the handful has to be watched. About $100 per pill on the street.

The thing is that if you do have the pain that requires that stuff and you only take it as long as you have the pain (like Amy's surgical pain) you don't get the buzz and you are not likely to get addicted.

It is so sad when they get messed up with that stuff. I HATE drugs and what they do to families. :sad1:

Angie, You know too much! I think you need some quality time in an RV

Best Wishes to Kristina as she recovers. I knew she was having some operation but did she ever say what for? I hope it went well.

I haven't heard what it was for either but I'm glad that she came through it well. Prayers for a quick recovery.

Kristina,
Hope you are resting and feeling as comfortable as possible after surgery. :grouphug:

Just wanted to let you guys know that Andy called and said Kristina's surgery went well. She should be home from the hospital by Sunday I believe.:goodvibes

Hello all!

Yes, she got out of the OR about 1:30 (in at 9:00!) and spent the next 2 1/2 hours in recovery. They finally moved her up to a room at 4:30 and she got stuck in a semi-private room, meaning 2 people...<if that's semi-private, what's NOT private, a bed in the lobby??!?! :sad2:>

Anyway, when I left yesterday at 5:00 pm she was resting, not comfortably, but resting....I think she's supposed to be back to the boards..I mean home :rolleyes1, by Sunday.

She called this morning and asked me to go to BestBuy...first I thought she was gonna ask me for a laptop and internet access :scared: ..but she only wanted headphones for her MP3 player.

Good Morning!

I thought I would back at work by today but my boss insisted I stay home the rest of the week to rest so I can give my rib some more healing time. He is being very conserative with it.

DD will be home today and since I can't take care of her all by myself and cant' take her to the doctor DH had to call in today as well. I believe that we are dealing with an ear infection. She does not feel too good. She loves her bed and did really well sleeping for the most part last night but I was a bit of a mess.

Nathan's room is directly across the hall from us so from his bed to my side of the bed is not more than probably 10 steps. Allie's room is all the way down the hall. It was just a bit difficult for me to feel comfortable knowing that she was not within the safe confines of her crib anymore. I was listening for her all night. About 12:30 she was by the side of my bed wanting to get in bed with us. DH took her back and thankfully she went right back to sleep. However, about 2:30 she started crying and came back to our room holding her ear. She was hurting so we got up and gave her some Tylenol and got her back in bed. Thankfully she then slept until about 7:00 this morning. Now she just feels kind of yucky but she does not appear to be in too much pain. We couldn't get a doctors appointment until 11:10 so she has a few hours to kill around the house this morning first.
